What tasty morsels are you concocting?
I am thinking about making barbecue pork ribs, corn on the cob, salad, and maybe some cowboy caviar served with tortilla chips.

I had other priorities and don't have anything special. Maybe I'll stop by the store.

That sounds good OP.

Easy dip that everyone loves and asks for and is trashy as hell sounding.
1 can Frito-Lay bean dip 1 8 oz avocado dip or if you can't find anymore any store bought guacamole 1 8 oz sour cream with a packet of taco seasoning mixed in Shredded Mexican blend cheese Diced tomatoes Chopped green onions
Layer every thing in order starting with bean dip and ending with onions
Serve with fritos and tortilla chips. It will be demolished.

My sister makes that cowboy thing for summer parties. It’s good. I shovel it in.

I've made that layered dip, before. But I used fresh Hass avocados and diced grape tomatoes. Really good.

I'm stumped. I cant seem to come up with fodd that really screams "in honor of dead soldiers"?

I thought cowboy caviar was when you eat his ass out after a long day in the saddle.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 27, 2023 11:21 PM |
R10 I think that's called cowboy culoviar.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 27, 2023 11:29 PM |
R7 and it’s pretty healthy too as far as dips go.

Dip?
What, please, is "dip"?
Is that something you people use for your hideous sheep?

I had tostadas de ceviche with loads of avocado, and stellar homemade flan for dessert, at the local taqueria. Marvelous!
And ceviche is a real health food, it's got protein and veggies and lots of healthy fats in the avocado! I need to start making it at home, now that we're heading into the summer when it'll be too hot to cook.

I'm going to a pool thing. Taking a key lime pie and my dip I posted at R5.

R14 is avocado usually in ceviche?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 28, 2023 5:57 PM |
R16, it's not a requirement, but it is a wonderful option. Onion, jalapeno, cucumber add a contrasting crunch. And don't forget cilantro.
I'm not r14, btw. But I've made ceviche a lot.

Who made the homemade flan? You or the people at the taqueria?

We’re getting BBQ from this awesome place near us: bbq brisket, chicken, ribs, corn bread, smoky collard greens, mac-n-cheese, strawberry rhubarb pie, mint iced tea and sangria.

R17 I have some frozen mahi fillets. Could that work in a ceviche?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 28, 2023 7:18 PM |
r20, I've never used mahi-mahi myself, but the link I provided lists it as a good fish for ceviche.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 28, 2023 7:22 PM |
R19 that sounds really good and very memorial day appropriate.

I'm just about done with our dinner: homemade speckled butterbeans+crowder peas, collard and mustard greens, candied sweet potatoes, rice, and cornbread. With sliced tomatoes to serve.

I’m currently on a cruise ship and I’m eating prime rib and lobster.

Now THAT’S living R24!

It is r25…laying in bed right now. I’m going to meet up with my friends at the buffet. I’m gonna be a fat whore.
