I noticed this too, OP. Turned it off after the first 20 minutes.

I too was annoyed within seconds by Byrne's accent. We all know she can do a decent American accent so I thought she was supposed to be playing an Australian and it'd be mentioned. It's also not very funny. Only watched the first episode so far but wasn't very impressed.

I only made it through half of episode 2. It's like an AI chatbot wrote a "snappy" comedy. Seth Rogen's clothes were ridiculous even for the character, Rose Byrne's accent is WTF, and the two don't have any chemistry to suggest they were once best friends.

It is not relevant that I am jealous of Rose for having Bobby Cannavale in bed every night.

Oh man, this is such a cute and fun summer show, and I don't usually go for straight buddy comedies. Like, at all. It's just Byrne and Rogen getting drunk and high in almost every episode and hanging out like you would with your friends.

I had no idea Byrne was Australian, her voice is quite different when she does her native accent, and I actually prefer it this way. So glad she went from Physical -- another great show -- straight into this. I will say it's jarring sometimes, watching her be in a whole different league acting-wise than everyone else. Luke Macfarlane is very pretty and Rogen is super charming, but she's acting circles around both.

Guy Branum shows up for an episode or two. They actually went with a take where he flubs his line, it was quite painful to watch.

It's mentioned later on. Her character is Australian.

I am on episode 3 and they are going OUT OF THEIR WAY to show us that Seth Rogan's character is mentally ill. Borderline. Histrionic. Just bad news. It's starting to make my skin crawl.
