Lisa Kudrow should have been Oscar nominated for this.

Excellent film. Everyone in it was wonderful.
Love Ricci at the end.

Ricci the ever criminally underrated star

Excellent. I had hopes that Don Roos would turn out more films of this quality...but no.

The movie where Christina Ricci announced she's a woman.

Sadly, this is the only specific memory I have of this movie.

One of my favourites of all time. Lisa Kudrow is brilliant. And the final five minutes always makes me cry!

I just watched this again recently and it hit very different in my 50s than when I first saw it in my late 20s. I enjoyed it a lot more and related better to Martin Donovan’s and Lisa Kudrow’s characters. And rather than lusting after Ivan Sergei I found Lyle Lovett quite charming and cute. I also love seeing West Hollywood from that era since I moved to LA a couple years after this came out and that’s how I first saw it.

I need to see this again.

Kind of crazy that it's never been released on blu-ray and the DVD is out of print. And it's not streaming anywhere. You can rent it on Amazon though. But still this is one of those movies that has fallen between the cracks.

Is Ivan Sergei dead?

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
