Poor old New York.

by Anonymousreply 1May 22, 2023 2:20 AM

Is there a way to reverse that?

by Anonymousreply 2May 22, 2023 2:21 AM

I recall reading another article about 20 years ago that was already voicing concern that the weight of all the new skyscrapers are causing the island to sink, especially the half below Central Park.

by Anonymousreply 14May 22, 2023 3:42 PM

This is kind of heartbreaking. I love NY. My hometown. I've been told no place in the whole world like NYC, but on top of that it has so many memories for me since childhood.

by Anonymousreply 19May 24, 2023 3:12 PM

But the greedy developers are going to continue to build new construction. Just like they do everywhere else. They destroy everything they can.

by Anonymousreply 22May 24, 2023 3:28 PM
