For Killers of the Flower Moon . Critics are saying it’s DiCaprio’s best performance yet .

“Scor”? How much time did you save by not typing the other letters in his name?

by Anonymousreply 1May 21, 2023 12:47 AM

OP, please use correct American punctuation spacing so you don't draw so much attention to your foreign-press publicist work.

Thank you.

by Anonymousreply 2May 21, 2023 12:48 AM

Even crappy movies get a standing ovation at these festivals, it's like a Mexican wave

by Anonymousreply 3May 21, 2023 12:48 AM

R1, is slow

by Anonymousreply 4May 21, 2023 12:49 AM

The applauses were so intense, that the building sounded like hard rain hitting roof .

by Anonymousreply 5May 21, 2023 12:50 AM

R1, (sic) is slow?

Honey, what fucking country are you posting from?

Idjit.

by Anonymousreply 6May 21, 2023 12:51 AM

Three and a half hours?

I'll pass.

by Anonymousreply 7May 21, 2023 1:14 AM

It’s a long time for sure ☝🏼. But people said it’s fast moving

by Anonymousreply 8May 21, 2023 1:18 AM

It was the hit of Cannes and all of Europe.

by Anonymousreply 9May 21, 2023 2:06 AM

Watching these so called movies stars stand and applaud like this man had found a cure for a.disease was so cringe

by Anonymousreply 10May 21, 2023 3:23 AM

Don't be fooled by the good PR. It's probably his worst performance. You can see in the teaser trailer he's basically playing Leonardo DiCaprio yet again.

by Anonymousreply 11May 21, 2023 3:26 AM

Yawn. I wish DDL hadn't retired

by Anonymousreply 12May 21, 2023 3:30 AM

No sane person should watch douchebag DiCaprio and douchebag DeNiro for three and a half hours.

by Anonymousreply 13May 21, 2023 3:34 AM

No Covid mask theater huh Leo?

by Anonymousreply 14May 21, 2023 3:35 AM

The only actor out there who I can count on for a superlative performance right now is Joquin Phoenix.

by Anonymousreply 15May 21, 2023 3:36 AM

I will say that this is the best Leo De Caprio has looked in a minute. He looks so trim and handsome.

Ooops sorry here we go (damn he looked good in 2019 too I guess)

‘The Sweet East’ seems to be a hit at Cannes. Sounds much more interesting.

Like Scorsese’s movie, it was also shot on film—but 16mm, not 35.

by Anonymousreply 18May 21, 2023 3:45 AM

Dicaprio is weird. Weirder than Cruise.

by Anonymousreply 19May 21, 2023 3:51 AM

Isn't the traumatized taint in the movie?

by Anonymousreply 20May 21, 2023 3:55 AM

Dicaprio just isn't as great as the hype. I never saw Kubrick knocking on his door.

by Anonymousreply 21May 21, 2023 4:31 AM

his time is over, leo is gotten boring and fat.

by Anonymousreply 22May 21, 2023 4:36 AM

We'd all love to see your head shot, R22.

by Anonymousreply 23May 21, 2023 4:48 AM

They were clapping because the movie was finally over.

by Anonymousreply 24May 22, 2023 11:35 PM

I liked The Irishman, but this doesn't interest me

by Anonymousreply 25May 22, 2023 11:39 PM

Three and a half hours about white guilt - this is going to bomb.

by Anonymousreply 26May 22, 2023 11:46 PM

R10 No it just means that your fkin insecure as fuck. We applaud great performances whether it be in theater or a film festival. Grow up.

by Anonymousreply 27May 22, 2023 11:51 PM

Whom is this closeted fag fake-dating now? According to the DailyFail, he has just been ghosted by a model (another one!). And what movie does he even have in the world nowadays? Why won't he come out when he's old and has got nothing to lewse anymore? Afraid of letting mommy down? I mean, he is eyetalian after all...

by Anonymousreply 28May 23, 2023 12:56 PM

r28 in the works*

by Anonymousreply 29May 23, 2023 12:56 PM

His mom is full German, dad is Italian

by Anonymousreply 30May 26, 2023 7:08 AM

DiCaprio gives the exact same performance every time: an overly earnest actor trying so very, very visibly hard to remember every tip and trick he has every learned and to put them all into play at once.

As if he were trying so very, very visibly hard to remember every tip and trick he has every learned and to put them all into play at once when shitting out a microwave.

Scorsese has only done stupid, immediately forgettable films for some years now. Too many of them with diCaprio.

by Anonymousreply 31May 26, 2023 7:24 AM

[quote] It's probably his worst performance.

Thank you for that, person who hasn’t seen it and clearly hates DiCaprio.

by Anonymousreply 32May 26, 2023 7:29 AM

The actual case this movie is based on was cracked by FBI agent Jimmy Stewart.

And I hate that Scorsese has superglued DiCaprio to himself for so many films.

[quote]Marty Scor

OP's a fucking moron.

by Anonymousreply 34May 26, 2023 12:59 PM

Other threads exist, Mein Führer

by Anonymousreply 35May 26, 2023 9:33 PM

Scorsese is truly great. There is something about Italian directors… they know how to tell a fucking story.

by Anonymousreply 36May 26, 2023 9:40 PM

[QUOTE] Critics are saying it’s DiCaprio’s best performance yet

Even better than pretending to find Kate Winslet desirable in Titanic?!

by Anonymousreply 37May 26, 2023 9:42 PM

R37 You do realize acting is pretending. Or are you suggesting all actors should be method actors. At any rate, you sound insufferable.

by Anonymousreply 38May 27, 2023 5:15 AM

I've never really liked Dicaprio all that much. I've enjoyed him a few films but mostly he's not my cup of tea. I fucking HATED the Wolf of Wall St. with the heat of a thousand suns.

I'm always ready to give Robert DeNiro a chance and I'm always ready to give Martin Scorsese a chance. Any film, any time, I'll give the two of them a chance. I'll go see this Flower Moon thing whenever it comes out.

by Anonymousreply 39May 27, 2023 5:27 AM

R38 - Dear, you sound obtuse and should promptly fuck off.
