DLers favorite object d’outrage is disturbed by John’s fashion choice. Why is he dressed for taking out the dog?
[Quote] Lauren Boebert slams John Fetterman’s ‘unbecoming’ fashion choice.
She says glaring through her Peggy Hill glasses frames.

Unfortunately, the cunt is correct in this case.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 20, 2023 1:26 PM |
Yep sometimes even a dumb bitch like this cunt can be right about something. He could at least dress business casual and not in a full on suit.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 20, 2023 1:30 PM |
Tacky!
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 20, 2023 1:36 PM |
He must really be packing!
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 20, 2023 1:36 PM |
He could be nude and still have more class and dignity than that freakazoid Boebert.
At least Fetterman isn't a grandparent at 36 and isn't cheating on his spouse with another married person.
That cunt has a lot of god damned nerve casting aspersions on anybody.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 20, 2023 1:37 PM |
Defending Fetterman's outfit makes you look stupid.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 20, 2023 1:40 PM |
She is correct here.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 20, 2023 1:45 PM |
For the first time in my life I have to agree with Boebert. Yech.
Why is he doing this? Is this depression related? He’s appeared other times wearing suits. Ill-fitting, but suits.
Why give someone like this good reason to criticize you when you’re already being criticized by the opposition for having a long illness-related absence shortly after you’re elected? I don’t think he could get re-elected at this point, if he even wanted to. Which is going to cause a problem down the road and make it very likely we’ll lose the seat.
Does he really think this is okay? How?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 20, 2023 1:47 PM |
He’s so far down the depression hole getting dressed is the least of his worries. We are lucky he didn’t show up in his pajamas. Hang in there, John. Slut Republican show some sympathy.

She's a MAGA bitch but he's a sloven mental vegetable who needs to resign and has no business being anywhere near the United States Senate.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 20, 2023 2:36 PM |
He could get away with it as an Everyman gimmick if he didn’t abandon his job for months at a time due to the gloomies.
If he’s too depressed to wear anything other than a sweatshirt, that’s sad, but he shouldn’t be a representing the interests of taxpayers adults with needs who can actually dress professionally for their jobs.
He is very much the embodiment of “Anything but a Republican” put into action.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 20, 2023 2:47 PM |
That is really inappropriate. Beyond inappropriate. Casual doesn't mean sloppy, especially when you're a Senator. You can dress casual, and still look nice and put together. It's disrespectful. Sorry John...try to be on your side, but not on this one.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 20, 2023 2:54 PM |
Lightening strike me! I agree with boobert on this one.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 20, 2023 2:55 PM |
Fetterman was clear from the outset that this was how he dressed. IDGAF that he wears shlubby clothes and looks like an every-man in the Senate; I care that he votes in his constituents' interests, supports the party, isn't a hypocrite, and most importantly, upholds his oath of office. The ignorant stupid gun-fucking slut shaming him sure doesn't meet any of these requirements. Well that's not fair, She fucks anything that moves, and probably a few things that don't.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 20, 2023 3:00 PM |
Can’t the wife pulling the marionette strings of the man who says “Goodbye” upon meeting people at least dress him in a button down?

[quote]Fetterman was clear from the outset that this was how he dressed.
Yes, he made it clear he's a narcissist.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 20, 2023 3:03 PM |
R19, he votes how you want when he shows up to work. Do you really want to lose those blue Senate votes when he has to run to the nut house for weeks at a time to deal with the pressure of a job he campaigned for?
People who wore sweatshirts to their job are usually the type of people who will abandon their duties to indulge some personal drama. That’s why you hire people who can dress professionally. It’s a way to let people know you’re a serious person.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 20, 2023 3:07 PM |
It’s his schtick.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 20, 2023 3:18 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 20, 2023 3:22 PM |
At least Fetterman could put on pants and a dress shirt. I know it’s his thing but there are standards.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 20, 2023 3:25 PM |
Why don't we focus on what they do instead of what they are wearing?. That's all she can complain about apparently.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 20, 2023 3:31 PM |
[quote]when he shows up to work.
You talk like Fetterman just randomly decides when to work and/or when to seek medical treatment. The man had a stroke... you know, a brain injury. And you're criticizing him for seeking mental health treatment? "The gloomies"... really?
Good to know you agree with the tarted-up whore who can't raise a child to not fuck the first thing that moves just like momma. Same bitch who's introduced a new bill to undo the microscopically small gains we've made to get guns under control, who joined Marge Traitor Green making an ass of themselves at the SOTU address, who hangs out with known sex trafficker Matt Gaetz... that's who you admire?
The right wing shills are out in force today.

by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 20, 2023 3:37 PM |
R27, my sympathy for the mentally ill reaches a limit when that diseased brain is making major policy changes that affect a country.
Thinking that a Senator shouldn’t miss months of work due to personal issues and should dress professionally for the job is not admiration for Matt fucking Goetz, but nice try with that embarrassingly reductive straw man argument.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 20, 2023 3:39 PM |
Like Lauren Boebert, Senator Fetterman should dress like a hooker who got roughed up by a client and abandoned in a Denny’s parking lot.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 20, 2023 3:39 PM |
R30, at least a hooker works.

Boebert prefers the furry toilet seat her ammosexual sister wore in the chamber whilst harassing the POTUS with her gibbon hoots.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 20, 2023 3:49 PM |
He’s got a wife and staff, doesn’t he? Even leather sneakers, jeans or solid black track pants (both available on Amazon in extra extra long lengths), and a comfy synthetic sweater with a t-shirt underneath would be worlds better than what he wore and just as comfortable and easy-care. It would still not really be appropriate, but he wouldn’t look like a slovenly pig.
That said, it’s one thing for strangers and constituents to tear him apart for it, it’s quite another for a colleague to publicly criticize a sick man.

[quote]...embarrassingly reductive straw man argument.
Judging someone by whom they choose to associate with is not a straw man argument. It is one of the many ways in which someone tells you who they are. You could say the same about the way someone dresses, but that argument has lost a certain amount of credibility given the way that people dress today. And frankly, this thread has made me start to like the way Fetterman pokes a finger in the eye of the establishment and tells them what they can do with their dress code.
Likewise, R29.

“Judging someone by whom they choose to associate with is not a straw man argument.”
R40, saying it’s trashy and unprofessional to dress for Congress like you’re doing yard work is not “choosing to associate” with anyone. Or have we reached the point in “fighting fascism” that we aren’t allowed to criticize politicians or people in power even for small things like an inappropriate wardrobe?
The straw man argument you presented was “If you don’t think all Democrats are perfect and beyond reproach, yOu mUsT bE a TrUmPeR” and yes, it’s embarrassing and reductive.
A few changes in your life and would’ve made an excellent MAGA member with your bootlicking.

Boebert dresses like white trash but she does meet the dress code. Fetterman does not.
This is not your living room, fucking show some respect for the office. People have had depression before this. Abraham Lincoln had depression and he dressed appropriately.
No, I am not a Republican or a fan of Boebert. Yes, it is low class for her to even comment. But she is a low class person. Democrats forget, you can’t stifle dissent at the voting booth. There are people who would see this as a sign of uncontrolled mental illness, and vote for somebody else, even if it’s a Republican. That’s why she’s doing it. It’s not about his clothes. It’s about, “look at this batshit crazy loser! Vote for the Republican next time! Or better yet, think of some reason to expel him from Congress and we will take votes while his seat is empty.” She wants to sow doubt about his capabilities and she is doing it. Boebert may be stupid, but she is cunning and vindictive. And nastiness and negativity suppress votes.
If his wife wants him in Congress, then she needs to get off her ass in the morning and pour him into a suit. Or the DNC needs to hire somebody to do it.

Just because Bobert says it, doesn’t mean it is false. People have eyes and can see for themselves. It is appropriate to wear baggy gym shorts to Congress? No. This is not even a question.
The problem with dismissing it because it happens to come from Boebert, is she is not the only one thinking it, she’s just the one opening her big mouth. Voters have eyes and can think too, and what some of them are going to think is this man is too depressed to be re-elected.

He always dresses like a loser. He's been doing this for a decade in public life. He's a frump-a-dump unpaid spokesmodel for Carhartt.
It's part of his bullshit "working class charm." He's not much of a speaker, and certainly not much of a thinker, so his clothing choices are his greatest impact on the policy conversation.

Rat face Bobo has no leg to stand on when critiquing others’ appearances. She could be wearing runway Dior and she’s still a person who was (probably) born and raised in a pig trough.
