His show “person of interest” is one of the few network shows I enjoyed before giving up entirely on network tv. It became more than a police procedural type drama and was pretty damn complicated. I knew he was pretty conservative and that didn’t really affect my enjoyment at the time. His descent into full on nutso will keep me from ever wanting to watch it again, though.

I still watch PoI via Amazon-Freevee. I tried not to care about Caviezel's politics. Reading that he mishandled the dog playing Bear bothered me, though. Supposedly that was the reason Bear was paired off with other actors in later seasons.

This guy has been insane since The Passion of the Christ, not new info, in fact, reported here years and years ago.

I found it to be extra disappointing because an actor who snagged that once in a lifetime role (Jesus) has a unique opportunity to share the actual heart of Jesus in the world in a way that was totally on par with Jesus, which means radical compassion and tender kinship, “we belong to each other”. A message of love that transcends religion…..that would have been cool and a spiritual lesson for the world that everyone can get behind. “We belong to each other” means we really do take care of “the least of these”, the immigrant, the orphan, the widow, the prisoner, the sick, the dying, the outcast, the marginalized.

But instead of seizing this golden opportunity to spread a message of unity around the world for *all* people, this asshole uses each and every opportunity to vent his rage, his wrath. What a complete sicko and joke of a man who dares to call himself a follower of *Jesus*. Fucking absolutely a hypocrite to the core of his being. Hope you read this Jim, you’re an insult to humanity on every level! Well done! Yes, this is Satan speaking to you Jimbo!

Is The Passion of Christ sequel still happening? The hot actor who played St. John in the original one recently died so that's one role they'll definitely have to recast.

I have a female friend, raised catholic, who absolutely adores Caviezel and fantasizes about him as her good catholic husband. She's recently rediscovered the church and totally nuts. Crying if she can't go to confession and thinks she'll go to hell.

He was good in Frequency, which was in itself a good movie.

That's a beautiful and truthful post, R20. Jesus IS love and compassion. All those who speak on his behalf, and judge and denigrate others, don't understand his true nature. So sick of the hatred that is spewed in his name.

Word was everybody on "Person of Interest" hated working with him. The one complaint I heard repeatedly was that Caviezel was lazy in learning his lines on a very regular basis.

I assume he was number one on the call sheet (sort of a big deal and responsibility), and didn't set the tone for everyone else on the show. The star of a series is more or less the team captain and it is important they are not only good in their role, but good at leading the team with their work habits and demeanor. Nobody had anything nice to say about him.
