Where were you 28 years ago today, when the sad news broke that actress Elizabeth Montgomery had died earlier in the morning from colon cancer at the age of 62 ?
That was a celebrity death which hit me hard, as we didn't know she was at death's door.
Same for me 11 years ago yesterday when I heard the news Donna Summer died.

I was looking forward to the end of fifth grade.
I remember her death vaguely. Jessica Tandy also died when I was in fifth grade, and I remember that too.

I was saddened by both deaths. They were too young, and it felt like we had just seen them performing and looking well. The news was left-field.
