Being gay and Republican shouldn't shock anyone. I have met many gays - both past and present- who would be comfortable at any Republican gathering. Why? Because many gay men and women support Trump and the far right agenda. They believe that brown people coming over the border is tantamount to barbarians at the gates. They think black people and trans people get too much attention when they should be in the back of the bus. They loathe taxes because they believe they pay too much. And they hate other gays because they think they are too " woke". Many are turned on by the childish masculinity of the modern day party. I have heard some say that January 6th didn't go far enough. Some of them even voice opinions about abortions and crime as though that effects them everyday. Self-hating gays exist in all areas.
