Is he gay? He's just adorable to me
He seems pretentious as fuck, and maybe a little bitter that he's never been taken seriously as a Real Actor. Even when he's playing a clown or a hippie for coin, he has that attitude that he'd rather be onstage doing Beckett than making fraus laugh.
Gale Harold has the same problem.

He brought an unexpected sexiness to playing the most evil person in America on "Succession."
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 16, 2023 4:18 PM |
I only really know him from Angels In America, and was surprised to see his name at the end credits of Succession this week, and realised yes he is playing the possible President.

He was really excellent in an early - like 20 years ago Law and Order SVU. He had been sent to prison for a tape and murder that he didn’t commit. He was released 10 years later and was a mess. I think that Olivia shot him in a laundry room. ….. I like him in the new Perry Mason.

Rape not tape ^

He was the blind guy in Love! Valour! Compassion!

I loved Weeds when it was about a suburban housewife selling weed to make ends meet. But it sort of went off the rails.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 16, 2023 4:32 PM |
Talented attractive actor who’s happy to show dick. What’s not to love?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 16, 2023 4:36 PM |
He showed his cock in Weeds. Kudos to any actor who is willing to show off his peen. (His peen, not something bought at an adult bookstore.)
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 16, 2023 4:36 PM |
But is he gay?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 16, 2023 5:02 PM |
Cute body, big dick, nice butt he showed off a few years ago in You're the Worst.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 16, 2023 5:08 PM |
He’s a gay. I saw him nude in Love Valour Compassion years back and he had nice meat.

No, R1, he does not. Not in the slightest. And he has certainly been taken seriously as a real actor. He works all the time. So I don't know what the fuck you're talking about--except maybe out your ass.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 16, 2023 5:50 PM |
He gave his honest opinion with no fucks to give. He’s also right.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 16, 2023 6:39 PM |
I love him. I also love him in the new Perry Mason. More Justin Kirk, please.

R12 Does nice meat equal a gay?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 16, 2023 7:15 PM |
He was great in Angels in America and I like him very much in Perry Mason and Succession. He gave the funniest interview about his role in Succession, in which he plays a demagogue for whom the presidential election was called with the help of a Fox News-like cable station. It was something like, "What do you mean I APPEAR to have been elected? I AM the President. You will respect me."
I assumed he was gay from the roles he's played, but I read that he has had relationships with women. I believe somewhere here said he's not gay.
He appeared nude in Angels in America. It was a hospital scene in which he was examined for new lesions by Emma Thompson, who played a nurse. The camera emphasized how vulnerable his character was. While it didn't linger, it revealed that he had a beautiful body.
I don't understand why he hasn't had a bigger career. Someone here said he's not that ambitious.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 16, 2023 7:29 PM |
Yeah, I actually started another thread on him a few months ago and info in that one contradicts this one. Someone said he’s not gay and was never that ambitious.

He had a supporting role in Succession EP Adam McKay's film Vice as well. He played Scooter Libby.

He was with Elizabeth Reaser so he likes an ample forehead.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 16, 2023 7:48 PM |
Supposed dick pic?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 16, 2023 7:54 PM |
He's one of those actors who believes his talents are so brilliant that his work goes over the head of nearly everyone.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 16, 2023 8:32 PM |
I also saw him in L!V!C! on Broadway years ago, and seem to remember foreskin.

Sure, darling, R22. Now have another drink.

That was Justin in Succession, wow I remember the character and thinking he was kind of hot but I really didn't recognize him. I remember his nude scene in Angels and there was another nude still from a movie or TV show years ago, he was/is pretty hot.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 16, 2023 11:37 PM |
R23 Justin’s nude scene was eclipsed by the extravagance of Randy Becker’s newsworthy and ample dong. Becker stopped acting and is a literary agent these days.

He’s the next president of these United States

Love Justin Kirk. Such a likable character actor who isn't afraid to get nude or play sleazy characters. Waiting for him to breakthrough to winning a major award like Skarsgard eventually did (despite being a weaker actor).
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 16, 2023 11:48 PM |
What's interesting about his career is that for so long he played angelic characters and now he plays either evil characters (as on Succession) or incredibly compromised characters (like on perry mason). he does have a great body and butt, but he's doing better in terms of roles now he's getting older--he sems to be one of those really first-rate character actors who might (like Jeremy Strong and Kiernan Culkin) eventually get the chance at a great leading part in a very well written and well directed project, because his talents seem so appreciated by the industry now. Sometimes certain actors just have to age a bit to attain their rightful stature (think of the unbelievable Kathryn Hahn, who was one of the best kept secrets in the industry until "WandaVision" showed what a star she can be).

I saw him in Angels in America many years ago. Stood outside the stage door entrance when he was arriving before the matinee show. He always claimed to be gay, but I swear he cruised me heavily on his way into the show..

I believe he was only in the HBO miniseries of Angels in America, not the plays.

All these comments on his acting and the type of characters he plays and none of you have mentioned his portrayal of a gay DA in 1930’s Los Angeles a la “Perry Mason”?!?
I like his acting chops, and his choices. But he’s far from “cuddly”, IMO. I can’t help but to wonder what kind of razor-coated stuffed animals OP played with as a child.

READ before you post next time.

Sorry r4 and r17. I read right part your posts. Partly because I’m trying to avoid Succession spoilers, so I scrolled as fast as I could past any of those.
Again, apologies. Glad to share some taste and commonality with a few others here.

Jeremy Allen White seems to be Justin Kirk 2.0
Justin seems to have evolved into Tony Goldwyn roles.
