Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson, has donated at least $21M to Scientology

She was using the voice of Bart to promote the church until Fox told her to stop. What a loon. She probably didn’t put it together that the episode where The Simpsons joined a cult could be extended to her church. I’m also surprised she voiced the episode where Bart was put on a Ritalin-type drug, Focusyn. I guess because it was an anti-psych drug episode, she was for it.

As of 2019 she had only contributed $17.5 million.

I'm glad that slacker is picking up the pace.

She's a bit of an idiot, isn't she?

In related news, 60 Minutes did a segment on the Mormon church's finances on Sunday. They allegedly have over a billion dollars invested, some of it in for-profit businesses, which is illegal, but religious organizations don't have to report details of their finances to the IRS. The guy from the IRS said their 'bailout' of a profiting company is most likely illegal but he said it's almost certain the IRS will never be charged to investigate because of the political fallout of investigating a religious organization.

Back in the late 90s when living in Los Angeles, I saw Cartwright driving her SUV several times. The first time, what caught my attention was her vanity license plate, an abbreviated Simpson phrase, I just can't remember which one.

Can someone else do Bart's voice?

At this point, the Simpsons voice actors could be replaced with AI deep fakes and no one would notice.

[quote]Eat my shorts!

Which for some strange reasons ended up being translated into "va te faire shampouiner!" in French ("got get shampooed").

But I do like the way they translated Mrs. Krabappel into Mme. Krapabelle, which can be heard as "Cra! Pas belle!" which means "Yuk! Not pretty!"

If I join Scientology will I become a famous singer? I mean I only have to pretend to worship XENU, right?

The Simpsons star, 65, who is best known as the voice of Bart Simpson, was awarded a trophy for reaching '𝑷𝒂𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒃𝒖𝒓 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑯𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒓𝒔' level status late last year.

Cartwright was photographed at the event at the Fort Harrison Hotel in Clearwater, Florida, alongside Scientology CEO David Miscavige.

Speaking in the new issue of Scientology's Impact magazine, Cartwright said: 'This was the most beautiful acknowledgement I have ever received in my entire life.'

In 2007, Cartwright was awarded Scientology's Patron Laureate Award after she donated $10,000,000 to the Church

In 2019, she was reported to have reached 'Diamond Laureate With Honors', reflecting she had given the organization about $17.5 million.

She earns $400,000 per Simpsons episode.

The biggest known donor to Scientology is Bob Duggan, a 79-year-old pharmaceutical and venture capital billionaire, who told the Tampa Bay Tribune in 2019 that his giving far outstrips $360 million, a figure he had himself volunteered to Forbes in 2016.
