With all the necessary caveats that I think Kit is a truly talented actor and I think he’s landed something big (I will stubbornly maintain he’s young Hercules until I hear otherwise), aside from Rocketman which was certainly cool, I just don’t think his having a longer CV means much? The Emmy and RTS win are a far bigger deal to me than Bad Santa or that movie he had a bit part in with Lily James. I doubt Joe is stressing much over the fact that he has fewer credits right now

HS is easily all of their biggest project as of right now (agatha will probably overtake it for now but that’s not out yet), and the difference in lengths of their resume for small parts in various films and plays is way less important than having Heartstopper

R126 I have a suspicion Bash is a stronger stage actor, given the fact he got cast to replace timothee and has received great reviews for it. I’m interested to se how he plays Ben this season. I honestly don’t think he was bad at all, and think the one scene I didn’t like (the school incident) was so early in filming I’m willing to chalk it up to that. I thought he was one of the better supporting actors in the movie scene and sports day

Evaluating Kit's CV on its own, he has a really solid CV, especially when you remember he's a 19 year-old. A mix of movies (including a major studio, Oscar-winning one), TV shows, stage work, voiceover work, throw in the critically acclaimed breakout role, and the Emmy and RTS wins.

R127 As an actor, you want a long list of credits and play different roles so agents can see that you have range. Also, it's great to get more contact and experience different work environments. And more experience will make you a better actor, that's just the case for most things.

I am saying that for the most part CAREER wise, having the breakout role (especially when you're young and there's less of an expectation of having a long CV) is far more important. I'm sure as they all seem to genuinely enjoy acting they want to do more and varied types. But I will maintain Bad Santa and a few episodes in Penny Dreadful for Bash, while cool, are not moving the needle for agents.

Basically my comment was that from this point on, I think very little of Kit's casting or Bash's is based on bit parts being played for 10 years; it's based off of performance in HS and awards (for Kit) and HS plus good play reviews and the Kid's BAFTA nom for Bash.

If Joe's CV stays as clean as it is, he will have an almost hilariously stacked one. Lead in Netflix show with NTA and Emmy nom, probably the biggest part or one of in an ensemble play in a respected Off West End theatre with a WOS award, lead in a Marvel show. And when you remember all that was filmed/done within 2 years of one another, it's fairly nuts.

I liked the idea of Kit’s look more than Kit’s actual look. And I honestly think will is the only cast member who has pulled off the oversized look, probably because of confidence and modeling experience but also because of his height. Holly doesn’t put Joe in anything too big, thankfully - she knows what works with the gay gaze and his body. Kit has an insane body and waist, I like the consistent chest exposure but wish the rest was Showcased a bit more in his looks. He’s still hot though

I will never understand why it's a sin to prefer Kit or not be attracted to Joe. It's not a competition or if it is, it's only in your own mind.
