I got tentatively approved for an apartment!!!

I found out a week ago that I have to move, I mentioned it in another thread. I have lived here 18 years and have until the end of July to find an apartment in a town with less than 1 percent availability rate. I knew my rent would go up by at least 50 percent.

I looked at half a dozen apartments, I would have had to get rid of at least half my stuff and my dog would not have had an ideal likely last few months.

I found one only listed on Facebook, 2 bedrooms FUCKING ENORMOUS yard, I mean huge, all utilities included for $2000. Figured it was a scam. not a scam! Viewed it tonight and its perfect. perfect.

owner just pmed me that they'd love to have me as a tenant.

I have to pass a background /credit check. background is fine, my credit is GARBAGE. I did tell him it wasn't great but obviously my rent always gets paid (18 years tenant).

then I just need to come up with $5000 plus moving expenses. I could do so much gardening. ALL the gardening!

by Anonymousreply 296May 4, 2024 8:05 PM

I hope it works out for you, RC!! Keep us posted.

by Anonymousreply 1May 12, 2023 1:52 AM

Good for you, rescue-chick.

Keep us posted.

by Anonymousreply 2May 12, 2023 1:53 AM

Did you get a jolt of joy when you were notified, Rescue Chick?

by Anonymousreply 3May 12, 2023 1:53 AM

o you're naughty r3! and yes, I will keep updating - all my friends are sleeping and I absolutely positively had to tell people! I am so scared happy! credit check fuck.

by Anonymousreply 4May 12, 2023 1:55 AM

Sounds good, Rescue-Chick. I'm glad.

Tell us more.

by Anonymousreply 5May 12, 2023 1:56 AM
have until the end of July to find an apartment in a town with less than 1 percent availability rate.

this thread would be more interesting if you said which town you live in.

by Anonymousreply 6May 12, 2023 1:56 AM

Credit doesn't matter as much as proof of income, I've found.

by Anonymousreply 7May 12, 2023 1:56 AM

Sorry r6, Burlington Vermont. we're in crisis.

by Anonymousreply 8May 12, 2023 1:57 AM

How many dogs do you have?

by Anonymousreply 9May 12, 2023 1:58 AM

just one currently r9. he's 75 pounds, 12 years old of rage.

r11, they are the BEST rescue dogs 🐶🐕😁

by Anonymousreply 12May 12, 2023 2:05 AM

You call yourself Rescue-Chick and you have only one dog? What do you rescue, exactly?

by Anonymousreply 13May 12, 2023 2:06 AM

R13, she rescued a chick. Duh!

by Anonymousreply 14May 12, 2023 2:07 AM

She rescues pussies, R13

by Anonymousreply 15May 12, 2023 2:08 AM

haha r13, I had at least 3 dogs, sometimes more when I fostered and I ran a large rescue and still have stuff I do with other rescues.

by Anonymousreply 16May 12, 2023 2:09 AM

So happy for you Rescue Chick! I told you It work out, and I'm glad it did.👍

by Anonymousreply 17May 12, 2023 2:11 AM

How are your periods, RC? You were having a tough time.

by Anonymousreply 18May 12, 2023 2:14 AM

Nice when life unexpectedly hands us lemon-aid instead of lemons.

by Anonymousreply 19May 12, 2023 2:16 AM

I hope these dogs get rescued. Not in VT, though.

by Anonymousreply 23May 12, 2023 2:20 AM

r20, I have friends in SC who are trying!

crisis isn't averted (credit check) but, I am extremely charming and likable so, he may overlook it.

by Anonymousreply 24May 12, 2023 2:20 AM

Send him here for references, rescue-chick!

by Anonymousreply 25May 12, 2023 2:22 AM

Congrats rescue check! I own a couple of rental properties and use a management agency to deal with them. Where the hell are you that $2000 for a two bedroom is a deal? That sounds very expensive to me.

by Anonymousreply 26May 12, 2023 2:22 AM

I require a credit score of at least 600 and verifiable income through paystubs. I use First Advantage to run credit. If someone doesn't have a credit score of 600 but is really close, and they have at least three times the monthly rent in verifiable income, along with positive rental history through a management company, I'll rent to them. In that situation, I would require a months rent as a refundable top deposit, meaning when they move out, they will get it back minus any damages or charges.

by Anonymousreply 27May 12, 2023 2:29 AM

lol, r26, studios go for a minimum of 1500 here in good old Burlington Vermont

by Anonymousreply 28May 12, 2023 2:30 AM

Opps. R27 is also is me, R26.

by Anonymousreply 29May 12, 2023 2:30 AM

r27, I would not meet your criteria but, I do have 18 verified perfect tenant years.

by Anonymousreply 30May 12, 2023 2:40 AM

*at the same. place.

also here you couldn't do that with 3x income. most people here make around 20 an hour on average and even a shithole with a roommate is over half anyone's income.

by Anonymousreply 34May 12, 2023 2:52 AM

There's many black people in Burlington r34. we get toms of immigrants

by Anonymousreply 35May 12, 2023 2:54 AM

by Anonymousreply 36May 12, 2023 2:56 AM

Housing affordable or otherwise is the #1 issue in America today. If your citizens can't keep a roof over their head the backbone of your society is broken. Everything else is secondary.

Do you befriend them, like on here?

by Anonymousreply 38May 12, 2023 2:57 AM

r38, yes!

by Anonymousreply 40May 12, 2023 2:59 AM

R24, do you think that your big, beautiful light crystal blue eyes may make him ignore the credit check altogether? Is there a "look" you purposely give to make people swoon?

by Anonymousreply 41May 12, 2023 4:14 AM

If you're not a kid and a renter why is your credit "garbage"?

You should have addressed that, there's no excuse for bad credit.

by Anonymousreply 42May 12, 2023 6:15 AM

Rescue chick has been rescued.

by Anonymousreply 43May 12, 2023 6:17 AM

Good luck on the credit check.
her problematic Menzies

That I didn't know about, and I hope she's doing better. I'm fascinated by women bleeding into their decades, e.g. into their fifties (which I'm not sure is R-C's case, yet). I've felt that since I stopped having the burden / the 'privilege', due to a medical condition.

by Anonymousreply 59May 12, 2023 1:29 PM
I'm fascinated by women bleeding into their decades

by Anonymousreply 60May 12, 2023 1:37 PM

Yes, really, R60. I got married after having a hysterectomy at age 34 and it was unexpectedly 'weird' to watch my (ex-)wife go through her monthly cycle / bleeding. I wasn't 'part' of that anymore, started feeling 'out of place' as a woman, all sorts of things.

Today, when I hear, say, a 50-year-old woman talk about her period, I am fascinated by the reality of youth and fertility behind it, of which said 50-year-old woman is always blissfully unaware.

The moon is an interesting goddess.

by Anonymousreply 61May 12, 2023 2:54 PM

by Anonymousreply 76May 12, 2023 10:21 PM

Oh, R75. I'm just tired of straight people (men and women) running up and down this place. You see, this is a gay board.

"But R-C is straight" - yes, she is. She's also an above-average, tried-and-true, salt-of-the-earth specimen.

The rest of you all, not so much.

by Anonymousreply 77May 12, 2023 10:23 PM

r77 okay. I didn't care that you gave me an FF but I did care if you thought I was insulting you because that was not my intention. Afraid I can't do anything about how you feel about straight people.

by Anonymousreply 80May 12, 2023 10:41 PM

by Anonymousreply 82May 12, 2023 10:50 PM

I weirdly am taking an emotional break for just today from my apartment woes and possible joys. I realized that for the past few days I have barely been able to sleep, wake up, walk and not be nauseated and need to give myself a break (just for today). The well wishes are taken to heart though!!

Good for you, Chick! How much for a pack of Marboro in Burlington?

by Anonymousreply 85May 12, 2023 11:00 PM

The racial makeup of the city was 85.6% White, 4.4% Black or African American, 0.4% American Indian, 4.6% Asian, and 4.8% from two or more races.

That doesn't seem like many black peand immigrants, 85% white.

by Anonymousreply 86May 12, 2023 11:00 PM

no r84, 5000 PLUS moving expenses. 2 for rent, 2 for deposit and 1 for pet deposit.

I don't know r85, I always buy a box of wine at the same time.

My neighbors are almost all immigrants of one flavor or another. I am often the only white person on the bus in the morning. so my view may likely be scewed by my day to day travels in my neighborhood. I really enjoy living in a community with immigrants

by Anonymousreply 91May 12, 2023 11:26 PM

by Anonymousreply 93May 13, 2023 12:17 AM

How stressful. It is so hard to find places that take animals. What is with all these Americans who hate animals? Should be a law that forces rentals to be animals and human safe, and at an affordable price too.

Good Luck to you OP! I hope you get the best place for you and your dogs.

by Anonymousreply 94May 13, 2023 3:30 AM

Orwellianly bizarre -- approach me so I can track, slap, & attempt to humiliate you? Or something like that?

by Anonymousreply 98May 13, 2023 7:59 AM

by Anonymousreply 101May 13, 2023 3:26 PM

ugh, I just filled out and paid for the background /credit check and am nauseated. I also couldn't complete the step to connect my bank account to PLAID because I use a small local credit union and it won't connect. so in addition to crappy credit I look flakey. I did send him screenshots of the 2 factor incompatibility notice.

by Anonymousreply 102May 13, 2023 5:05 PM

Play up the fact that you like banking local. You’ve been an 18-year resident after all! I wholeheartedly grasped the fact “too big to fail” meant “I do t want any part of that” awhile ago and went straight to my company’s CU. I’ll go off on a diatribe about the evils of big banking, and not everyone will agree with me, but when they do, it’s like finding a kindred spirit.

Don’t give up!

by Anonymousreply 103May 13, 2023 5:35 PM

haha, I am not giving up, just venting so I can present a confident, trustworthy face! I agree, fuck big banks for real! And he already knows that I am a 'my community' person based on where I work, my gardening obsession (which his fiance loved and was something she was hoping for in a tenant) and my volunteerism.

by Anonymousreply 104May 13, 2023 5:41 PM

I hope you get the place, and your dog has plenty of space for zoomies. When I was buying my house, even with an 810 FICO score, the approval stage was the most stressful, and I was on edge. Good luck, and keep us posted.

by Anonymousreply 105May 13, 2023 5:48 PM

R-C, If I were wealthy, I would buy you a big house with a great yard. I think this will all work out and you will get it :)

by Anonymousreply 107May 13, 2023 7:05 PM

They can do that without a specific $$ amount to keep that private.

by Anonymousreply 108May 13, 2023 7:53 PM

by Anonymousreply 112May 15, 2023 9:01 PM

I'm sure they said good things, Rescue-Chick. You'll be in your new apartment soon.

by Anonymousreply 113May 15, 2023 9:08 PM

You'll be in like Flynn!

by Anonymousreply 114May 15, 2023 9:14 PM

and they called my landlord.

my bestie who I got into fostering, trained and got her all her dogs just wrote me into her will to take care of her animals if she and her husband die. There's a monetary attachment with that and she's going to give me part of it now/soon to help with my moving expenses. I obviously told her that I am honored to be entrusted to her pets but I hope she's not doing it just to justify to her husband giving me money and she said 'you're the only person I know who I have no doubts will take care of my pets like your own forever'

by Anonymousreply 115May 16, 2023 1:27 PM

IMO, that's the highest compliment a person can receive. I wish I had a person like you to put in MY will.

by Anonymousreply 116May 16, 2023 2:10 PM

it brought me to tears Sylvia, it was the greatest honor *I've* ever received. I won't take kids but pets, you bet!

by Anonymousreply 117May 16, 2023 2:11 PM

R115 I was going to make a joke about bumping her off but the sentiment is too nice to spoil, that is indeed a great compliment to you and your new landlord must realise he's struck gold from all these testimonials!

by Anonymousreply 118May 16, 2023 3:08 PM

and fortunately, she's one of my personal references r118!

by Anonymousreply 119May 16, 2023 3:34 PM

Can we get a Tasteful Friends after you move in?

by Anonymousreply 120May 16, 2023 4:08 PM

Haha, as if I am tasteful

by Anonymousreply 121May 16, 2023 4:09 PM

When will you hear whether you've been accepted, RC?

by Anonymousreply 122May 16, 2023 4:30 PM

No clue Dutchie r122 but, they're doing this after they received my credit check and notes that I couldn't connect to PLAID so I am hopeful!

by Anonymousreply 123May 16, 2023 4:38 PM

Also, I am kind of weirded out at being in someone's will. It never occurred to me that I ever would be. My father had money and left me nothing and the only thing my mother has left me is damaged (she's not dead but the damage is the gift that keeps on giving).

Am I supposed to do something in return for my friend? Is there protocol here that I don't know?

by Anonymousreply 124May 16, 2023 4:43 PM

R110 Our bank did that for us when we were moving into a new city. We were in between jobs (starting new ones in the new city) and our bank confirmed our holdings without being super specific about dollar amounts.

It's really all a landlord wants, to know you are reliable. Transitions like job changes, etc. are understandable.

by Anonymousreply 125May 16, 2023 4:47 PM

Good luck Rescue-Chick! I am a landlord and, while financials that are "on paper" are important, there are qualitative factors that go into the mix as far as deciding on a tenant. So far, we have been very lucky with our tenants, both of whom stayed six and five years, respectively (and left due to relocation, moving in with a partner, etc). You sound like a really trustworthy and solid individual; the fiance likes you already, which can only help. Reliability is important and you had 18 years as a good tenant in your current home.

Please keep DL posted on the progress-- I am pulling for you and your dog!

by Anonymousreply 126May 16, 2023 5:02 PM

You’re good, R-C. You already did the most valuable thing by agreeing to look after their dogs. That’s a lot, even with a little money. You know what all goes into it— it’s challenging arranging good care when you want/need to travel without them, there’s the regular maintenance like teeth cleanings and bloodwork, and it’s incredibly expensive when they get older.

It’s worth it, to dog people to put themselves into it, but it’s still a lot of work and a lot of money. I think you’re squared away. They are very lucky to have you.

by Anonymousreply 127May 16, 2023 5:05 PM

Fingers and toes crossed for you RC.

(I think you said your late father was gay. If that’s not me hallucinating, I think that gives you deserves to be on DL cred despite being straight.)

The moon is regular LL. Bleeding into your 50s, not so much.

Burlington is super diverse compared to the rest of Vermont.

by Anonymousreply 128May 16, 2023 5:09 PM

Oh and a tip I heard from a friend which I’ve never used so who knows:

Find out the day your CC reports to the credit companies and clear your balance the day before in addition to paying on your due date.

by Anonymousreply 129May 16, 2023 5:12 PM

Hi EL r128, my father was gay-good memory! I am almost 52 and still get periods. I think I will always get them lol.

by Anonymousreply 130May 16, 2023 5:13 PM

R8, why in crisis ? Is that all of Vermont ?

by Anonymousreply 131May 16, 2023 5:24 PM

R131, not all of Vermont. All around Burlington anywhere within an hour's drive.

by Anonymousreply 132May 16, 2023 5:26 PM

What’s going on? 👆🏼

by Anonymousreply 133May 16, 2023 5:27 PM

Buerocracy. There's a one mile stretch of road that would deeply benefit the city being built with easing traffic and they've been fighting about it for over 30 years. Much money, no road.

by Anonymousreply 134May 16, 2023 5:29 PM

Has crime increased with the immigrants?

by Anonymousreply 135May 16, 2023 5:33 PM

Not really. It's increased but more due to gang members using Vermont as a bridge between new york and Massachusetts along with the homeless population crimes usually both are caused by drugs.

by Anonymousreply 136May 16, 2023 5:42 PM

It's probably too late, but you can have your old landlord write a letter and vouch for you- that's what I did in the bad old days of my credit rating.

by Anonymousreply 137May 16, 2023 5:48 PM

my property manager was here today to take room measurements and I talked with her. She said she gave me a great reference and has been keeping an eye out for places for me.

I have to be out by lease end but I don't have to pay if I find a place before that and move ie, if I move for June I am not responsible for July. I can also pay partial month if I need an extra week into June or July to pack and move. And I don't have to clean because they're gutting it, I get my full deposit back. so, that's good!

by Anonymousreply 138May 16, 2023 6:37 PM

Hoping everything works out for you, R-C. There are so many empty apartments in my area that property management companies are just asking for additional rent if the renter has a pet dog or cat. Some people are responsible and know how to care for a pet in an apartment.

by Anonymousreply 139May 16, 2023 6:54 PM

ElderLez R128, see, this new generation of 50-year-olds is infinitely fertile, as R-C herself at R130 will tell you, and I can't help but be fascinated by it. Mary!

by Anonymousreply 140May 16, 2023 9:42 PM

Everyone loves to complain about find a rental in Manhattan…oddly enough, though, she’d already have a signed lease and a ready-to-move date in this neck of the woods…

The wheels turn slowly up in the Green Mountains 🤷🏻‍♂️

by Anonymousreply 141May 16, 2023 9:45 PM

I’m only a year older than RC, LL and let me tell you, as someone who is still stuck in perimenopause, bleeding after 50 is no indicator of fertility.

by Anonymousreply 142May 16, 2023 9:55 PM

“My gynaecologist looked up to me this morning, and he told me I was still very much fertile.”

by Anonymousreply 143May 16, 2023 10:02 PM

No rc just take care of their pets if they knock off unexpectantly. Good Luck with your apt. 2000 a month is hwy robbery.

by Anonymousreply 144May 16, 2023 10:28 PM

$2000 is sadly pretty much standard for an apartment these days in most cities.

by Anonymousreply 145May 16, 2023 10:30 PM

by Anonymousreply 146May 16, 2023 11:46 PM

Woohoo!! Congrats!!! Very happy for you!

by Anonymousreply 151May 17, 2023 12:01 AM

Congratulations Rescue Chick! We now expect zoomie, and gardening updates! Moving is a pain in the ass, but worth it when you get the place you really wanted♥

by Anonymousreply 152May 17, 2023 12:02 AM

R142, I've known two women, one was 50 and the other was 51 years old, who got 'accidentally' pregnant at those respective ages, while not attempting to / not undergoing any hormone treatments whatsoever.

Perhaps the Brazilian ho is just an extra-fertile ho?

by Anonymousreply 153May 17, 2023 12:07 AM

Zoomies all round!!!

by Anonymousreply 154May 17, 2023 12:12 AM

R146 YES! Congratulations, R-C!!!! We all called it!!!!! Happy for you.

(somehow it's taking forever for newer posts to load - do show us pictures of your new garden, as someone above suggested!)

by Anonymousreply 155May 17, 2023 12:14 AM

haha, the guy said if I wanted to dig up all my stuff gardens and plant them I can do it any time I want

by Anonymousreply 156May 17, 2023 12:18 AM

So jubilant for you ELez !! This will bring you so many blessings

by Anonymousreply 157May 17, 2023 12:53 AM

I mean rescue chick lol

by Anonymousreply 158May 17, 2023 12:53 AM

This is great news!

I've been worried about you.

All the best in your new place!

by Anonymousreply 159May 17, 2023 1:00 AM

Great news RC can’t wait to here about your adventures in gardening.

by Anonymousreply 160May 17, 2023 1:03 AM

So happy for you, rescuechick!

by Anonymousreply 161May 17, 2023 1:51 AM

I think I may need to take a mental health day tomorrow. this has been a roller-coaster for me! and, with more to come a day break may be good.

by Anonymousreply 162May 17, 2023 1:59 AM

48 new posts since I last checked this thread early this morning. I had hopes it meant there was a happy ending and I am so happy it did!

Congrats RC! 🥳 enjoy your mental health day tomorrow, and the warm feeling that comes with knowing you are a good person worthy of good things!

I’d send you a six pack or beer, or bottle of bourbon but I need to know which you prefer. And by “send” I mean, I’d drive it out and drop it off.

by Anonymousreply 163May 17, 2023 2:10 AM

R162 if you lived in NYC, you’d be home by now

by Anonymousreply 164May 17, 2023 2:11 AM

r163, bourbon, always bourbon. or, box o wine!

by Anonymousreply 165May 17, 2023 2:15 AM

R163 has a crush on our own Chicky.

Cute. ❤️

by Anonymousreply 166May 17, 2023 2:22 AM

Right-on, RC! Happy for you!

by Anonymousreply 167May 17, 2023 5:14 AM

happy for you, op

by Anonymousreply 168May 17, 2023 6:08 AM

by Anonymousreply 169May 17, 2023 8:06 AM

Fantastic news!! So happy for you and your pup!

by Anonymousreply 170May 17, 2023 1:08 PM

I'm glad for you, Chick! 😊

by Anonymousreply 171May 17, 2023 1:29 PM

Great news ! congrats on your new place

by Anonymousreply 172May 17, 2023 1:34 PM

Congrats RC, looking forward to seeing your garden.

by Anonymousreply 173May 17, 2023 3:37 PM

Happy excited lasted all of twelve hours. I am now at the 'I am so overwhelmed that I am throwing up' stage. My stupid HR person, whom I spoke with about taking a 401k loan was like 'yeah, it's easy, you just request in your account'. Does she have it set up to be able to do that? nope. is she answering emails? not yet. How does one pack up everything, manage finances, get movers all at once while working, trying not to have to pay everyone back from borrowing money, etc?

This is so overwhelming. Haha, my mental health day took a weird turn

by Anonymousreply 174May 17, 2023 5:14 PM

RC, I would imagine you could apply for a 401k loan through the website of whatever company is managing it/administering it.

For example, mine is done through Fidelity. I have to use a different portal than my regular investment account Fidelity, but once there I can access, manage and yes, take out loans without any special help from my company’s HR

by Anonymousreply 175May 17, 2023 5:25 PM

unfortunately r175, that's not how ours is set up. I am choosing to blame our hr person lol. I am breaking down and doing a gofundme for my friends-hopefully anyone who offered to loan me money will maybe be able to donate a portion of what they could loan instead. how humbling and shameful feeling but I am 'have to do something have to take action' mode right now. and, it's better than sitting here grumbling at the sky.

if my boxes I ordered had come yet I could burn off mental energy packing. I am very aware that is what the problem is- just mental energy looking for an outlet moving my forward.

by Anonymousreply 176May 17, 2023 5:36 PM

RC, I wish you could somehow tell us about your GFM, I understand why you can't but I would help in a second

by Anonymousreply 177May 17, 2023 5:59 PM

r177, I wish I could too because my pride is nonexistent right now BUT I also get why the big M doesn't allow that. thanks for listening to my ramblings today. I thought I would decompress and recharge today. ha! best laid plans and all.

by Anonymousreply 178May 17, 2023 6:01 PM

Stop talking about getting approved! It’s a nothing burger!

by Anonymousreply 179May 17, 2023 6:02 PM

Get off her new, upgraded lawn, R179.

by Anonymousreply 180May 17, 2023 6:09 PM

RC do you have a family member or friend who will give you a loan against the 401k withdrawal since it’ll probably about four weeks? I did that with one of my siblings. I put together a two paragraph contract.

by Anonymousreply 181May 17, 2023 6:11 PM

Post your gofundme

by Anonymousreply 182May 17, 2023 6:13 PM

Do we know for a fact that Lady M forbids things such as posting a link to a GoFundMe?

And if posting links directly is not allowed, would it be allowed for one to, say, [italic]describe[/italic] to us how we might find the right GoFundMe, without posting any links whatsoever?

by Anonymousreply 183May 17, 2023 6:22 PM

It’s not that hard… especially if you use some choice search words that are pretty obvious.

by Anonymousreply 184May 17, 2023 6:29 PM

Also, once you do find it, you must leave even a $mall indication that you found it!

by Anonymousreply 185May 17, 2023 6:37 PM

I don't think it has any kind of robust search, I can't find my gfm in the search. It lets you choose 'near me' and type which wouldn't be helpful. I think from their perspective they want sharing of links which makes sense!

by Anonymousreply 186May 17, 2023 6:38 PM

I mean - each GFM has a 'title'; I wonder if perhaps R-C posted such title, we might be able to go and Google it, for example.

by Anonymousreply 187May 17, 2023 6:43 PM

I’m a bit shy to say anything more for fear of this being M<>$&71’d… but it didn’t take more than some common-sense.

Zoomies-runner in the profile pic kinda gave it away and was a nice touch. He seems like a sweet boy. No pic, or mention, included your son’s squirrel-ish assbrow thoigh, but that should probably be appreciated.

by Anonymousreply 188May 17, 2023 6:44 PM

You go, Rescue Chicken!

by Anonymousreply 189May 17, 2023 6:46 PM

by Anonymousreply 190May 17, 2023 6:46 PM

MOTHERFUCK! I think I found it too, R188!

BITCH! I'll just say this:

help me move to new apartment burlington

by Anonymousreply 191May 17, 2023 6:52 PM

I have calmed down enough to say what set me into panic today. my hr person who I spoke with WEEKS ago about taking the loan from my plan was originally lik3 'yes, that's easy, you just fill out a form, no problems'

TODAY when I contacted her about doing it she's like 'o, that may not work you know, they may not approve it because it might not qualify. it's only a b and c that qualify' and I am like, bitch really? forst of all, the a b and c you listed are for withdrawals I believe. and, why were you so 'y3ah, easy peasy' 2 weeks ago and I was counting on it? I could have used that 2 weeks for other things.

by Anonymousreply 192May 17, 2023 6:52 PM

Then go finger your pussy on the front lawn!

by Anonymousreply 193May 17, 2023 6:53 PM

we have a frost warning r193, that isn't going to help much

by Anonymousreply 194May 17, 2023 6:54 PM

FUCK IT, let's get this show on the road.

Rescue-Chick, your currency is worth five times my currency; screw it, I'm helping you.

Let's go, y'all!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 195May 17, 2023 6:54 PM

o please don't get me banned- I love it here and you all and would miss you terribly!

by Anonymousreply 196May 17, 2023 6:57 PM

Ugh that sucks @192, RC. I hate it when stories/circumstances change. Doubly worse when finances are involved AND there is a certain element of dire straits on the line too.

So many times in my younger, leaner, poorer days circumstances forced me into fiscally irresponsible situations. This wasn’t helped by my own penchant for fiscal irresponsibility. And when I thought I may have some help, or a way out, watching that dry up because some paper-pusher bureaucrat admit a mistake and “poof!” there goes the help I was counting on… beyond frustrating.

It doesn’t seem those are your exact circumstances now, RC, but I’m reliving a bit of my own turmoil reading about yours… even though I know the outcome is exciting and the best thing for you.

This may not be

by Anonymousreply 197May 17, 2023 6:58 PM

Erase that last line… that was left over from an edit.

by Anonymousreply 198May 17, 2023 6:59 PM
we have a frost warning [R193], that isn't going to help much

Mmmmm, pubecicles!

by Anonymousreply 199May 17, 2023 7:00 PM

R196, I won't, I won't... If anything, Lady M might b a n me! Anyway, I'm not saying anything more than I already did, and I suppose what I DID say is not enough to warrant a b a n , so...

by Anonymousreply 200May 17, 2023 7:01 PM

a friend donated $1000 and I have $1000 in my bank account so I have the deposit that I can give him today. I can worry about the rest tomorrow! also, fuck hr.

by Anonymousreply 201May 17, 2023 7:34 PM

I just saw that, RC. You def have nice friends, Wtg!

by Anonymousreply 202May 17, 2023 7:37 PM

I found it too. Wish I could have done more but I plunked some coinage your way. Good luck RC!

by Anonymousreply 203May 17, 2023 7:50 PM

and PS

ooooh! that old pupper in the photo...so cute!

by Anonymousreply 204May 17, 2023 7:51 PM

he's a gem r204, my big guy keeps me (semi) sane 🐕❤️

by Anonymousreply 205May 17, 2023 9:51 PM

Yay RC...and what a good ol' pup you have.

Very happy for you, and I also condole you on your Aunt Flo still hanging around.

by Anonymousreply 206May 18, 2023 8:47 AM

I've sent some your way, Chicky. ❤️

by Anonymousreply 207May 18, 2023 12:54 PM

Rescue Chicken is cracking me up

by Anonymousreply 208May 18, 2023 1:43 PM

I saw that and sent a thank you note r207! I have been doing that through the portal because I don't want anyone here to feel weirded out. My bestie who wrote me into her will is going to drop off a check and I will update the total as 'off line donation' like I did my friend who venmoed me. no double dipping here!

by Anonymousreply 209May 18, 2023 1:43 PM

I like you. The gofundme, however, disgusts me—that’s low trolling for cash. Very disappointing.

Time for you to Move in or Move on.

by Anonymousreply 210May 18, 2023 1:45 PM

That's fascinating, R210. Wow.

I got it on my e-mail, R209. ❤️

by Anonymousreply 211May 18, 2023 2:09 PM

You’re entitled to your opinion r210, but surely you’re not equating this situation with some of the more ridiculous ones DL has collectively shamed and derided thru the years?

You’ve made me think though about just how GFM campaigns can get traction with certain types of people. I’ve donated a few times in the past… all were times of “random compassion” on my part which short-circuited any judgment on my part. They weren’t far off from some of the lamer situations. Perhaps the only thing that put me over the edge was the gin I was drinking at the time

by Anonymousreply 212May 18, 2023 2:44 PM

r210, I understand and respect your opinion on the subject. I was melting down yesterday but trying to keep my 'sane' face on in real life. I likely should have kept my ramblings to myself- my dignity hit the road about 2 weeks ago and flipped me the bird yesterday. I'll earn back your affections!

by Anonymousreply 213May 18, 2023 2:58 PM

Sometimes there's a need for a Hail Mary. My friend's film was selected for this year's Cannes Critics' Week, it was unexpected, so she created a GFM to try and haul the cast from Brazil to France (bless them, they are there right now). So, that was twice in the same week I've donated to a GFM, which is completely unusual for me, but, in this case, absolutely worth it.

by Anonymousreply 214May 18, 2023 3:19 PM

R210 We practically had to pull teeth to get RC to tell us about the fundraiser so maybe stuff your judgemental attitude where the sun don't shine.

We never know what might happen that might make us turn to a fundraising initiative like that. I have a friend in need of a liver transplant and we raised 10K for him. Did any of us want to do that? No. But times are tough and you can either ask for help when it's needed or sit in the dark and cry.

by Anonymousreply 215May 18, 2023 4:58 PM

Yeah, I was going to say that - we basically had to doxx R-C to come up with her GFM.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 216May 18, 2023 5:07 PM

^in order to* come up with

by Anonymousreply 217May 18, 2023 5:12 PM

I almost want to make a comment, mostly in jest, that R210 is just a bit butthurt because his GFM for Anal Bleaching fell waaaaay short.

But I won't.

But I really want to.

But I won't.

by Anonymousreply 218May 18, 2023 9:19 PM

R218 I applaud your restraint!

by Anonymousreply 219May 18, 2023 10:06 PM

RC, given that your HR person has apparently already given you some incorrect information about the possibility of the loan you describe, I would strongly suggest that you contact the financial company that handles your 401K directly to ask your questions. If you are getting statements, there most likely is a number to call for help. Or a list of FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions.)

Good Luck!

by Anonymousreply 220May 19, 2023 5:28 PM

What R220 said.

by Anonymousreply 221May 19, 2023 8:29 PM

Any updates, RC? You good?

by Anonymousreply 222May 21, 2023 1:08 PM

r222, the drama of it all! I think I am going to be able to white knuckle my way through. it's going to be obscenely tight but that's ok! I had the full deposit and we were going to meet, sign the lease, get the keys etc Friday.

I go to venmo him the money Friday (he wants rent by venmo, it's part of the lease). venmo says 'lol no'. I call my bank, get my daily transaction limit raised, try again. venmo 'lol, no'. my friend drops off a check for me to deposit through venmo. venmo 'nope, we say we do that but, not for you'.

he and I talked yesterday and he's fine but I had visions of him 'I don't even know her and she's playing games' and was just sick. he said I can start moving outdoor plants if I want and we'll sign when he gets back from vacation on the 31st.

I opened a checking account with a 'big bank' and scanned the check my friend dropped. it'll be available next week.. I am going to close my venmo and start a different one with the new bank account and hope for the best. but today, uvm graduation day (closed streets) I am going to enjoy the likely rain, watch tv in my pajamas and chill the fuck out.

I am also going to mention to my boss (executive director) that it's incredibly ironic that we discriminate against renters (based on what we do) and that employees should be aware they can't take loans from their 401k so they can make informed decisions if they want to put their money in it.

by Anonymousreply 223May 21, 2023 2:48 PM

I borrowed from my 401K to move, so I'm not sure why they told you no.

Maybe it's your particular company's rules (or their financial company's rules)? It's a shame they dicked you around like that.

by Anonymousreply 224May 21, 2023 2:51 PM

it's what the company chose. there's two options 'any reasonable expense' and the one they chose (which matches the wording of the withdrawal option) 'hardship reason medical, mortgage, education, burial' etc. No one I have spoken with has ever heard of being fully vested and not being able to take a loan. it's just typical for this specific hr person.

by Anonymousreply 225May 21, 2023 2:57 PM

Yeah, as someone else mentioned I'd call the company directly and bypass HR Frauette.

by Anonymousreply 226May 21, 2023 3:04 PM

Unfortunately, it can't be changed without going through the board etc. I think that's why she sent me a screenshot so it would be clear I could not bypass it. I will of course call them but don't really have any expectations. I will talk to the person who can initiate the change through the board approving it so maybe the next person won't have the panic I did.

by Anonymousreply 227May 21, 2023 3:08 PM

hahahaha, my neighbor is a school bus driver and has access to the whole fleet. my driveway is between 2 tall stone walls and fairly steep. She's going to try to check out one of the small buses for my move.

Picture this: me, my boxes and my dog rolling into the neighborhood on the short bus!

by Anonymousreply 228May 24, 2023 2:13 AM

my friend who put me in her will to take care of her pets if she dies (and wrote me a check) is adopting an adult cat with feline aids, is heartworm positive and has urinary tract infections. I can't stop laughing. I told her to make sure she takes her vitamins

by Anonymousreply 229May 26, 2023 12:05 AM

so, I am just venting. Movers are coming tomorrow around noon. Today we did a dump run and another run out to the apartment with a truckful of jumbo laundry bags of stuff. Gave my 84 inch sofa away today because the new apartment is smaller than the one I am in now.

I am about 95-90 percent packed and I am just sitting here crying and exhausted. I wanted to get my bedroom fully emptied so my dog could hang out in there while the movers are here but I am not able to get all of the upstairs into the office. I also can't drag my mattress out of my room by myself. he's going to have to go in his crate and the movers will have to deal with his barking until they get the mattress, 2 boxes and a nightstand out. I am too exhausted to continue trying to get the mattress out.

I have to pack my desk/computer area up. I have to do dishes so I can put some dinner in the toaster oven so I can clear the counters and pack dishes after I eat. I need the counters cleared so I can put my living room plants on them because I am bringing them separately. my upstairs ones are in the bathtub. I need to detach my big tv from the stand.

I am desperately hoping that they can just take the outside stuff without me fucking with it, like the small storage shed.

fuck I am tired. also my neighbor is burning shit in their yard. it it smells like shit. or, maybe cigar? I don't think I will get to bed tonight.

by Anonymousreply 230June 4, 2023 1:16 AM

Hang in there, rescue-chick.

Moving is one of the most stressful things in life. It will be over soon.

by Anonymousreply 231June 4, 2023 3:53 AM

thanks r231. I am done for the night. I will move my plants in the morning and pack my computer stuff then too. I HAVE 2 people who are planning on helping after with stuff that doesn't make it. my bestie is bringing her truck down Monday and my neighbor plans on bringing me and the big guy and whatever out tomorrow afternoon.

I just am tired of having my poor friends have to do all this. the more I get packed the less they have to bring. they're really too good for me.

by Anonymousreply 232June 4, 2023 5:11 AM

Try to get some rest.

by Anonymousreply 233June 4, 2023 5:57 AM

R232 would you do the same for them if they needed you and you were able? If so then no need to be hard on yourself!

by Anonymousreply 234June 4, 2023 10:35 AM

Good luck with the move, r-c.

by Anonymousreply 235June 4, 2023 11:17 AM

This thread has become exhausting…moving is not torture, don’t treat it as such. If we all told the DL every detail of our own experiences in moving from place to place, then this lounge would have gone out of business many years ago.

by Anonymousreply 236June 4, 2023 12:27 PM

Dear Diary

by Anonymousreply 239June 4, 2023 1:54 PM

I hate stories where the hoped-for resolution is presented:

I bought a lottery ticket and I think im really going to win big!

I think I aced my job interview and can expect to be hired on Monday on a salary well above that posted!

I saw a car in front of the building today, and I think it's the McArthur Foundation people looking for me!

Bat-shot crazy optimism and asking strangers to cross their finger for you...it's nuts.

by Anonymousreply 240June 4, 2023 2:37 PM

Congratulations, Rescue Chick!

You are moving to your new place today!

When all is moved, just sit down and give a sigh of relief. Take your time over the next days putting things in place and just enjoy the fact today that the move is done.

by Anonymousreply 241June 4, 2023 4:05 PM

R241 you omitted one item on her list: have this thread closed.

by Anonymousreply 242June 4, 2023 4:17 PM

R236, R238, R239, R240, R242 - and yet how you do go on about your skin care rituals & old glory holes

RC I understand you are writing your thoughts for those of us who are interested. That fact has eluded some DLers.

by Anonymousreply 243June 4, 2023 6:02 PM

my main mover is a gay guy. he's lovely.

by Anonymousreply 244June 4, 2023 6:04 PM

Yes, I agree with R243. Those tired, soulless stalagmites listed are the type that come into a thread clearly advertising things that don’t interest them and then piss on it, ending with “I really don’t care for this”.

… the ones who blather on about not caring for architecture in “Tasteful Friends”

… those who diss the wondrous Grealish when they could just stay the fuck out

… the pathetic anti-porn, anti-masturbation trolls that want to make us gays all groomers

Basically, those that should fuck right off of Datalounge now!

Hang in there RC. I’m sorry to read about your troubles and self-questioning but I’m thankful for the update. I wish I could do more to help now, physically.

by Anonymousreply 245June 4, 2023 6:09 PM

I have minimal stuff and I hate moving. Rescue-chick, sounds like you had a lot of stuff to move.

by Anonymousreply 246June 4, 2023 6:59 PM

So, just a 'wrapping it up' update.

My dog absolutely positively loves it here. We just calmly wander around the back yard, no barking, no pulling etc. We both finally slept in my bed last night and he was so happy he kept waking me up to snuggle.

I am about 1/3 unpacked and do not yet have any of my plants here yet (indoor or outdoor), I am getting them Thursday. After that, I am telling my old apartment, I am done. Yes, there's some rubbish left, yes there's a few things left in the walls, yes it's not as good as I would like but I am done with it. It's certainly not 'trashed' and all the rooms are emptied but I am not cleaning the fridge or wiping down countertops etc. I need to focus on unpacking.

The people upstairs are really nice and keep to themselves. My landlord is upping the internet speed with no additional cost to me and is discussing putting in lots of raised planter areas in the back yard for next summer so I can really garden. He claims the raised gardens would make mowing easier for him, I think he has caught on that I can be a bit prissy lol.

I have told my real life friends this and want to say here to- thanks for being here for me with this. it was frankly extremely traumatic and I keep thinking this place is too good to be true but, my dog loves it so much that I am going to follow his lead 😊🐶

by Anonymousreply 247June 7, 2023 11:52 AM

Dogs know things in ways we can’t RC. Happy it is all working out.

by Anonymousreply 248June 7, 2023 11:57 AM

I'm glad it all worked out and you and the pup are happy, R-C!

by Anonymousreply 249June 7, 2023 11:59 AM

Thank you for the update RC, you really sound like you’ve got a handle on it now. Not perfect, but real and good. It puts a smile on my face to think of your happy dog zooming around the yard, and I hope you do make the most of that yard!

Congratulations and enjoy the summer!

Any updates, RC?

by Anonymousreply 252June 11, 2023 1:36 PM

Happy for you! Good luck!

by Anonymousreply 253June 11, 2023 1:41 PM

252,just unpacking! I am about 60 percent unpacked. Last night I HAD to order stuff to make a big salad for the week, I had been eating Chinese food and pizza for the past week because I couldn't cook due to not knowing where my stuff was and not having room. My digestive system was not having it any longer, between shitty food and stress I just felt yuck.

My big guy has been having unusually runny poops and it's because he's also been off his regular diet (for the same reasons) so I have a pot of chick peas on for his dinner and pulled out his regular meats because I FINALLY found my knives lol.

I spoke to the young lady upstairs and asked her 'is it good here? it feels too good to be true' and she said her boyfriend has lived here for several years and loves it and she moved in a few months ago and also likes it.

Apparently it's been empty for months and he had been interviewing people for months but just didn't like anyone for it. In Burlington, apartments go the same day they're listed- sight unseen. I feel more grateful every day.

My big guy has farts this morning that are clearly from the Chinese food fried rice I gave him 2 days ago. repulsive, never again.

by Anonymousreply 254June 11, 2023 2:07 PM

All the happiness to you in your new home, RC!

by Anonymousreply 255June 11, 2023 2:09 PM

I just took the biggest dump! I was constipated for days but took a laxative and that must've kicked in overnight because man that dump was huge!

by Anonymousreply 256June 11, 2023 2:20 PM

Fried rice usually has onions? Your poor dog.

by Anonymousreply 257June 11, 2023 2:23 PM

Glad it all worked out, RC!

by Anonymousreply 258June 11, 2023 2:26 PM

EL r257, this place has really large sliced onions, I picked them out.

by Anonymousreply 259June 11, 2023 2:29 PM

Any hot neighbours?

by Anonymousreply 260June 11, 2023 2:44 PM

I only have seen the guy upstairs and someone next door, not sure if male or female. you guys would probably like the guy upstairs, he's Jamaican (I assume), short, trim and well dressed. The person next door I couldn't really see as there's privacy bushes but they were really buff and wearing an 80s workout outfit and doing that thing with big heavy ropes (? I don't know what it's called, some workout thing). They may have had a blond mullet wig on.

by Anonymousreply 262June 11, 2023 2:55 PM

I thought it was funny r262, that wasn't what was wrong with my stomach (more just feeling bloated and sloggy) but it's exactly what I would say to my bestie if it were what was going on

R76 - Burlington Coat Factory originated in Burlington, New Jersey, not far from Philadelphia.

by Anonymousreply 264June 11, 2023 4:28 PM

Yeah, agree that it's uncool to not clean the prior apartment. You could hire someone to clean it, at least.

by Anonymousreply 265June 11, 2023 8:24 PM

I mean, they're gutting it so I am not as much of an asshole as it sounds.

by Anonymousreply 266June 11, 2023 8:35 PM

This bugs me too. Clean up your mess. What she describes doesn't even sound like much, just too lazy to care I guess. Whoever is gutting it shouldn't have to deal with someone else's filth and dirt too.

Looks lovely Rescue Chick, you can setup a comfy sun lounger there and get a nice healthy tan on your tits!

by Anonymousreply 270July 12, 2023 3:55 PM

One year update - I re-signed my annual lease this morning 😊

He raised the rent of the neighbors upstairs (a bit, not horrifically) but didn't raise my rent because 'of the unbelievable work I have done in the back yard'. He also gave me permission to get a pit mix when my big guy dies (this has been on my mind because I thought he was dying last week. he's peachy keen currently fortunately).

Please don't tell the universe this but, I am so happy here as is my dog. He doesn't bark at shit anymore. I had to get a stun gun to feel comfortably secure inside because he simply can't be bothered anymore lol.

I put in a 1200 square foot wildflowers garden, 2 Adirondack loveseats, a screened gazebo, a swing bench, I have hanging baskets, bird feeders and bath, hummingbird feeders in the lawn part of the yard. I am slowly clearing all the undergrowth from the wooded portion in the far back and put in lily of the Valley, lenten roses and forget me nots so far.

We have a massive mole and skunk problem- that means the soil of the yard is full of yummy (to moles and skunks) grubs of various sorts. I am treating the whole yard next week with beneficial nematodes to solve that.

My big guy and I go out every morning and drink coffee, well I drink coffee, he poops and we both watch all the birds. So far we have chickadees, 4 different kinds of finches, a bluejay and a shy cardinal. Crows in the wooded section and eagles, turkey vultures and hawks overhead enjoying the cross breezes.

It's fucking idyllic.

Ironically, my old place has been on the market, unsold for almost a year. Fuck them.

Rescue chick, are they/will they be rescue animals?

by Anonymousreply 272April 27, 2024 10:41 PM

I'm happy for you RescCh.

Renoviction. I have to be out of here by June No suitable 2-bedroom places, here we say 4 1/2, under $2300. Even in the boonies. Downtown there a brand new places, condos, almost reasonable. But no room is wider than 8.5 ft.

by Anonymousreply 273April 27, 2024 10:42 PM

every one of them r272!

r273, I am so sorry - that's so fucking stressful. I suspect you will wind up lke me though - eventually happier (don't tell the universe I said that)

by Anonymousreply 274April 27, 2024 10:49 PM

The backyard sounds like a dreamscape. I admire your energy. You'll have to put a couple of photos up when it's in full bloom.

Before they signed their lease, did your landlord ask the upstairs tenants to put some rugs down so you don't have to hear them stomping around?

by Anonymousreply 275April 27, 2024 11:05 PM

Rescue Chick- You have good karma. I am in the seacoast of NH and it has been like. this for me:

2022 1500 2023 1950 2024. 2450

Its unsustainable...

by Anonymousreply 276April 27, 2024 11:17 PM

" Where the hell are you that $2000 for a two bedroom is a deal? That sounds very expensive to me."

I'm in Southern CA and my rent is 42140 for a one bedroom. I do have my own washer and dryer and a dishwasher and fireplace but it's still almost half my income. I have no other debt so it's currently not an issue, but saving money is difficult.

by Anonymousreply 277April 27, 2024 11:19 PM

Sorry, that was $2140 ^^^

by Anonymousreply 278April 27, 2024 11:20 PM

R277 Similar- But no dishwasher, no washer and dryer- But I do have the ocean, and that keeps me happy

Boggles my mind that I will be paying more than someone in southern CA. And my place is OLD.

It does include heat. (Which in New England, electric heat costs 3-400 a month for a small place 7 months out of the year)

by Anonymousreply 279April 27, 2024 11:22 PM

I will post pictures r275! I did not ask him for that because we had a couple of 'come to jesus' moments, the upstairs people and I. During the day if it gets bad I wear headphones and they are now quiet after 11pm. We're ok. She even brought the kids to the park across the street for the first time in a year last weekend. I think I scared her.

Something has to give in this country wrt rent, housing and cost of living for the basic necessities. It's dangerously unsustainable.

by Anonymousreply 286April 28, 2024 12:56 AM

"Boggles my mind that I will be paying more than someone in southern CA. And my place is OLD."

Except you're not. A two bedroom in SO CAL is $4000. You're paying less than I am for a ONE bedroom.

by Anonymousreply 287April 28, 2024 1:51 AM

Sorry R287- I was replying to the southern Ca renter paying $2140-

by Anonymousreply 288April 28, 2024 2:20 AM

That's me, r288. I pay that for a one bedroom.

by Anonymousreply 289April 28, 2024 2:27 AM

$1745 a month (utilities included) here an hour North of San Francisco for a 600 sf studio. And I share the laundry room with the landlord, who overtakes it on Sundays (which is also where my bathroom and closet are located).

It will be going up in Feb...AGAIN. I moved here in 2020 for $1550 a month, and it's gone up every year except the last because I complained.

I've been looking for something else (maybe with an actual bedroom, so I don't cook 10 feet from my bed) for months and it's really slim pickings. I am considered low income, I just found out, as I make 63k (66k in 3 months), but our county's median income is 91k.

I'm worried I won't find anything, and if that's the case, landlord will be raising the rent as much as he is allowed to (by law).

It sucks.

by Anonymousreply 290April 28, 2024 2:29 AM

Thrilled for you rescue-chick. Couldn't happen to a better person!

by Anonymousreply 291April 28, 2024 2:32 AM

R291- I agree-

And let me tell you that Vermont, and Burlington VT are some of the worst rental markets in the country. (New England is often forgotten)

NH has a .80 % vacancy rate for apts or something utterly grim. (Why I am paying $1000 more a month than I did 3 years ago)

VT is as bad, if not worse-- and the job opportunities are far worse because most VT'ers cannot commute to Boston, like folks in NH..

I don't know how I made it this long up here.

Rescue Chick deserves all the best!

by Anonymousreply 292April 28, 2024 3:22 AM

Northern New England (ie Mass and above) is just insane. So many people moved here during Covid “because it’s safe” ie mostly white people. Also telecommuting means they can keep their high paying job and live in a beautiful area with low-paying jobs for locals. I pay more for a two bedroom apt than my relative who rents a house in New Jersey. I’m an excellent tenant, non smoker, quiet, no pets, paid rent on time, stayed eight years in each of my last three apts and have only moved because resident landlord decided to sell. Current landlord is a real estate agent. I should’ve known better as my rent just went up 10%, the legal limit. I’m sick with worry.

by Anonymousreply 293April 28, 2024 2:53 PM

I am so sorry r293, it's so scary. Safe, affordable housing is a fundamental human right.

by Anonymousreply 294April 28, 2024 3:10 PM

Of course a lot of those majority white areas are in fact much more dangerous than NYC, but people hear “only three murders in the past decade” and fail to realize that that is a much, much higher rate murder rate in a town of a thousand people than 400 murders a year in a city of eight million.

Even the terrible area I grew up in has houses close to a half million in price. It’s bizarre.

by Anonymousreply 295April 28, 2024 6:22 PM

RC, when are you moving in? Update?
