We didn't even get around to covering this story during primetime. Please fill me in.
I should have been more clear with the title. The rumor was he raped a girl at his school.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | May 11, 2023 10:02 AM |
It's a parents' fault for not pulling him out of the school. Period. Now, they will have to live with that guilt forever.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 11, 2023 10:09 AM |
And the girl who accused him will issue a tearful recanting, saying that she was angry that he broke up with her, so she lied to get back at him. Then, everyone will have pity on her and what she did will be forgotten.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 11, 2023 10:42 AM |
r2 They were paying $72,000 a year just to get him in there.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 11, 2023 10:42 AM |
Sad. A cute kid.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 11, 2023 10:45 AM |
You failed to mention he was exonerated, r1, and that he was "was elected president of the residential housing where he lived." Being a resident assistant or authority in any form at a dorm can be the kiss of death.
[QUOTE]A classmate previously disciplined for bullying Reid and determined to be involved in spreading the rumors about him was eventually expelled for an unrelated incident, the school revealed.
[QUOTE]The unnamed student was left unsupervised as he packed his things — and during a gathering with peers, he falsely told them Reid was to blame for his being kicked out of school.
That his parents didn't pull him out after so much time is unfathomable. Did they tell him to "tough it out?" Very often, children who are bullied in previous school settings thrive when introduced to a new scholastic environment.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 11, 2023 10:48 AM |
r6 IDK it's a weirdly specific thing to make a rumor about.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 11, 2023 10:51 AM |
R7 your use of the word “specific” make sure post a non sequitur.
Would you feel better about it if the rumor was more “general“
If the rumor were, he might rape a woman, or wanted to rape a woman, or had thought about raping a woman would you be more likely to believe it?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 11, 2023 11:08 AM |
The parents probably thought that if they pulled him out of a prestigious school it would reflect badly on them as parents.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 11, 2023 11:10 AM |
This is what happens when women are allowed to merely pointer fingers, and make accusations and destroy the lives of men without an ounce of proof. It’s also why more and more people are suspect each and every time a woman claims she’s been assaulted. They’re literally the worst humans walking around.

R10 is what happens when people refuse to read the link at OP.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 11, 2023 11:18 AM |
R10 is exactly the reaction OP was hoping for when he wrote the fucked up headline.
Troll thread.

It's a Lord of the Flies scenario at most boarding schools. They do have the best drugs though. Children are cruel. Rich people have kids and then pay others to raise them.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 11, 2023 11:29 AM |
Absolutely tragic. He was cute and would've grown into a hot stud muffin by college.

R13- Just like that Albino
Anderson Cooper
He has his $1 million a month CAREER and leaves others to raise his now TWO children 👦.
He’s raising his kids in the traditional Vanderbilt style
with SERVANTS
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 11, 2023 12:53 PM |
r17 I'm sure they're very grateful that they don't need to spend time with Anderson Cooper.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 11, 2023 12:57 PM |
I (R10) am what happens when people don't read the story at the link..... I was wrong (apparently) and I'm very sorry. That was ignorant of me so please forgive me. I'll admit that I have a sensitivity for men who are wrongly accused of rape/assault on women because of my younger brother going through it a few years ago. But I shouldn't project that frustration and passion here without first READING.
I'm embarrassed for this one, so please feel free to viciously face-slap me R11 & R12. I deserve it and will try to do better. Shame on me. :-

People rarely apologize on DL, r19!
You're good!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 11, 2023 1:07 PM |
Meh. Thin lips. Beta male straight guy with no coping skills made weak-willed by he comfortable life of his parents wealth and the expectation that his societal privilege as a white boy would help carry him through to a good life. Lol, a bible in his gym shorts. What a loser move. Why commit suicide? Everyone knows you stay alive to spite your haters and naysayers. Success is the best revenge.
If he had been hooking up with a fem twink faggot who was gladly sucking his cock and taking his load, this never would've happened. If straight life gets too hard, go gay. We never turn down prime cock. Nothing takes the wind out of the sails of a fish's rape allegation quite like shut up bitch, I'm gay and your pussy stinks. I can smell it across the classroom. Also, R10 wasn't wrong. Plenty of women accuse guys of rape because they know the damage it can cause. Oldest trick in the frau book of ostracism. Right next to banishing gays once they've served their purpose.
Murray looks like a pedo creep and should be fired for that mustache alone. Everyone knows Lawrenceville attracts assholes. $76k a year is ridiculous. Harvard is cheaper. I think even NYU is cheaper.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 11, 2023 1:19 PM |
What a senseless death, and how odd that his classmates chose him as a target when the headmaster's walking around with that mustache.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 11, 2023 1:25 PM |
He should have just yelled “This is a disgrace! I don’t even know her! she’s not my type!”

[quote] Stephen Murray, the head of Lawrenceville School in Mercer County, New Jersey. (from photo in Post article).
Would you trust your kid with this guy?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 11, 2023 3:17 PM |
R24 Nope and judging from the administration's inadequate response to the boy's ongoing bullying, the parents shouldn't have either. Lawrenceville will have to do more than carve out another six figure salary in the bloated budget if they want to justify such a high price tag and remove the stain on their reputation. Now they've been marked as a school where you're promising white son goes to die.
The Dean of Students at my expensive prep school was a hard-ass who was always on top of things. He would call students into his office and make them delete inappropriate material from their social media, have you speak to the school therapist if personal issues were impacting school performance, and make repeat baddies do weekend detention. He would also stand at the stairs and the main hallway intersection to make sure guys were going to class, appropriately dressed and clean shaven, and not bullying each other. He was very professional, a nice guy only in his office, and absolutely not to be trifled with. Never raised his voice either.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 11, 2023 3:54 PM |
Oh god, *your promising son
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 11, 2023 3:55 PM |
Stephen Murray - if he got rid of the 70's gay porn stache, I think he'd be very attractive. I'd like to have a better idea with a full-body shot.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 11, 2023 4:16 PM |
Amateur! What he should've done is written about the effect of the bullying in his college essay to secure a spot at the Ivies/Stanford. Better yet, the pro move is to write a memoir about how the unfounded allegations, incessant bullying, and lack of response from the administration affected his life. Take a year off after school, go on a book tour, raise your profile with tv interviews, talk to Oprah, make money from the memoir and then definitely land a coveted spot at HYPS the next year. That'll teach stupid fish and jealous males (like the one who bullied him) not to fuck around. Leave the good jock cock and twink hole up for grabs for the fags who can appreciate it!
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 11, 2023 4:35 PM |
[quote]They were paying $72,000 a year just to get him in there.
Well, now we'll have the money to convert his bedroom into something useful.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 11, 2023 4:37 PM |
The bully who got expelled must be the fat kid who was jealous/obsessed with the cute, dead kid. It's always the fat bully.

[quote] Why are so many twinks dying lately?
There is a twink epidemic of murder going on! Don't you know anything? Don't you care? One twink is killed every month, globally. I can't breathe! I can't wait until my favorite artist Bad Bunny sings a song devoted to dead twinks!

[quote]The family needs to bring a lawsuit against the girl.
As was mentioned upthread, male classmates were bullying him about this and playing pranks at his expense. One was later expelled for an unrelated incident but blamed it on Reid, which caused additional problems.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 11, 2023 4:48 PM |
How peculiar. Just last night I was googling a friend of my brother's who got sent to Lawrenceville decades ago for being "bad." He was one of my earliest crushes, since sixth grade. Maybe he killed himself there. I never heard from him after he went to boarding school.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 11, 2023 5:12 PM |
What a horrible tragedy. The poor kid. I’d never send my son to a boarding school, not in this day and age.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 11, 2023 5:27 PM |

It's so sad when beautiful people die.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | May 12, 2023 2:51 PM |
Bullys should be immediately expelled. Bullying causes a lot of problems throughout a bullied person's life. They suffer low self-esteem and depression long into adulthood. You never get completely over it.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | May 13, 2023 8:23 PM |
Bullying should be nipped in the bud, when young...so hopefully it doesn't carry over to later years...a la GOP. They can ruin the world.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | May 13, 2023 8:49 PM |
The NY Times is pretending to feel bad about our beautiful boy Jack, even though they pushing the "all men are rapists" line the hardest out of anyone for the last 4 years.

Boarding schools, for parents who don't want to raise their kids. Out of sight out of mind.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | May 15, 2023 11:20 AM |
I thought boarding schools were where soap opera parents sent their kids so they can age 15 years over one summer.

No R45 that's usually one's elderly parents in Colorado. A simple change of face is more likely an extended vacation to Europe or occasionally a spell in an drug-induced coma on a tropical island
