r172 Casual music listeners of all races tend to be "fickle" and have genre listening habits that are quite homogenous. Just as there are not many Black people who listen to metal or know any metal artists, there are not a lot of White people who listen to neo soul or know any neo soul artists.

That is one of the many reasons I can't really connect with people; my music interests. I have a real passion for it and love all genres. I have yet to meet anyone, of any race, who is the same (I'm very introverted and don't go out/socialize much). It kinda sucks.

That's true in terms of being "done" with high-charting new material, but she still had all of her older material which was still played on radio religiously. Based on that material and some of the newer material, she still could do very well touring, and generally still can. Plus, her core audience would know more secondary tracks/deep cuts. The crowd that would be going out to see Babyface and Anita in 2023 wouldn't consider him "way more famous" or even if they did would not be shocked that he was opening on that bill.
