On average are straight men more attractive than gay men?

There are way, way more straight men. So of course there are more hot ones. But on *average* I would say gay men tend to take care of themselves better. Gay guys at a high school/college reunion tend to be in better shape than most of their straight counterparts. Haven't settled down with kids and still want to look fuckable.

We're conditioned to think a rugged, mannnish man is more desirable than someone who shapes his eyebrows. Maybe we think they'll be more aggressive/fun in bed. Or we will flourish in the shadow of his masculinity.

While not all straight men, straight guys do this effortless thing. They'll roll out of bed with bed head and throw on a tshirt and shorts and just be hot. I remember in college the ones who would roll up into class with wet hair from the shower. There is just something very sexy about throwing yourself together and it just landing.

The latter, except the psychological element is on your end, namely in the form of self-loathing – either for being gay or being femme. You hate yourself, even if you're oblivious to it on a conscious level, and as such are more drawn to men who don't "act gay."

Physical attractiveness has no correlation to sexual orientation – at least on a genetic level. (Yes, obviously gay men tend to focus more on their appearance than straight guys, particularly in terms of working out, but genetics are genetics. Some luck out, others don't.) And since I'm already bursting silly-gay bubbles, there's also no correlation between large hands / feet / lips and dick size or cocksucking abilities. (Also, no one under the age of 35 is a "strict top" or "strict bottom." However, they have an advantage over us in that not preening and obsessing over your appearance, like most gay men do, gives one a more natural appeal.
