James Farentino

My mom used to watch Dynasty reruns in the afternoons when I was a gayling and he was one of my very first crushes. Then, I forgot about him until he showed up as Dr. Ross' dad on ER a few years later.

He died in 2012 and had a troubled personal life. He was married four times. Wife #1 was DL fave Elizabeth Ashley. Wife #3 was Debrah Farentino, who was much younger and I thought was his daughter until today. According to extremely old internet gossip, he cheated on wife #2, Michelle Lee with Debrah.

He was also arrested for stalking former girlfriend Tina Sinatra and on a drug posession charge.

Did anyone else have a crush on him?

I always found him really hot. I remember he would be in TV movies and I would wait just for scenes of him shirtless.

I was very into Dynasty but didn’t like him, anything that got in the way of Jeff & Fallon was anathema to me. John James FTW!
