Its not covid, but definitely not a flu..but definitely no ordinary cold, either. Insane amounts of post nasal drip for two weeks now, hacking cough, can't fucking sleep more than three hrs a night altogether from the loud fucking coughing. Pissing neighbors off now. Post nasal is just ...really bad. Sudafed no longer works and nothing else really. Fluids make the post nasal worse. Live in the upper Midwest, so assuming our bipolar weather isn't helping any. Almost May and been 20 degrees below normal and flip floppy.
Anyone else dealing with an annoying, unrelenting "cold" virus?

Leukemia is like this.
Please go to a cancer center and get checked.

Have you been to the doctor? Have you had any bloodwork done?

Its a virus. Everyone else had it, and I got it last. Hubby still has remnant symptoms too. Nope, not been to a doctor yet. Tired of them as I had to deal with their idiocy too much the past three years regarding my crohns and lupus ..and ended up worse. My trust in them in crap right now. Plus, last time I went to one for a bad cold, I ended up being misdiagnosed with a bacterial infection , which it wasn't, and put on an antibiotic that nearly killed me and ended up with an antibiotic resistant gut infection that I've dealt with relapsing for a decade now. Just everyone that has had this...it takes weeks for them to get over it.

I've had it since April 13. Feel OK, but still producing excess snot. So very tired of this.
I suspect the Kleenex company is behind these unrelenting colds. .

Yeah R3 I think you are helping to identify the issue by going into detail about this. I have had it for over a month but I have allergies so who knows. Lack of trust in the medical system can be a form of self preservation when you have an adverse reaction to treatment. The medical system will go into “deny, deny deny” mode rather than correcting a mistake.

I recently got it. Ended up going to the doctor because my ears got blocked and I was having spells of vertigo. She told me to take OTC meclazine (Bonine) for the vertigo, and it worked like a charm. Took nearly three weeks for the cold symptoms to calm down. Now I'm left with a lingering cough, and I'm always tired.
This too shall pass.
