I have had this patch of hair pretty much since I went through puberty. I used to be self-conscious about it when I was younger, but I eventually learned to embrace it. My ancestry is roughly half-Swedish and half-Russian Jewish—both my dad and brother are virtually hairless over their entire bodies, whereas I ended up with thick, dark facial and chest hair, along with a hefty amount of it below the belt. I always joke that I took after my mom. Suffice to say, she is not the one with Swedish ancestry.

I've got a wispy blond patch back there which is odd because I'm a dark Spaniard. Makes one wonder what evolutionary role it has played. I like how a breeze plays with it while I'm on the beach.
