Never heard about that particular scene, only that there was some pretty gory stuff deleted from the film.

One of the best horror films of the 90s. Space horror subgenre = underrated.

The movie must have inspired the similar idea of the Reavers from Firefly/Serendipity... although it made no sense in the latter that the Reavers could go completely batshit animalistic and cannibalistic, and yet still manage to cooperate wtih one another enough to pilot spacecraft.

The Black guy is really hot in this.

The two interchangeable British guys both seem gay.

The white boy finally came out as gay.

The edited version was bad enough.
