Sherilynn Fenn was the oldest when the show start, age 24 or 25. The other two were 19/20.
However, they looked very mature and not at all like teenagers. They all look mid-30s in this picture.
They were smokers. Smokers always look older.

They were not the age of high school students. Lara Flynn Boyle was the youngest at 18/19.
I liked when people looked mature. It was because they took care of themselves and had full lives and experiences. Now we have overgrown children everywhere. Every actress especially looks about 12.

I'm going to assume that was the look that David Lynch liked.
I think actresses look young these days because everything is marketed towards teens, it seems. So they need actresses that can convincingly play teenagers.

Today they tend to cast little, round-faced actresses as teens on TV shows. They could be 25 but they have that look. Childlike. Like Mary Mouser on Cobra Kai.

Probably a throwback to old Hollywood where everyone looked older than they were. Of course older actors are cast due to them not having legal time constraints on-set.
