This movie came out when I was in high-school. I rented the vid at BlockBuster and used to sneak around to watch when my mom wasn't home. It was before I came out or understood my sexuality. I watched this movie so many times and ended up returning it late. One day after school my mom left a note " Return But I'm a cheerleader , Blockbuster called"

I love Natasha Lyonne and love the movie.

I once worked at a Blockbuster, and had to chuckle when a furious Karen returned this film and demanded a refund. Her reason? "I thought it would be about cheerleading. But it had lesbian stuff!"

Never saw it, never wanted to. Just the title was enough to put me off.

This movie had an amazing cast and a very John Waters-esque vibe. Love it.
