Is Pauline Parker still around?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | April 13, 2023 6:15 PM |
She should have been executed way back when.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | April 13, 2023 6:16 PM |
R4, she was a minor at the time. I'll never understand conservative DLers who think kids are too young to identify as trans or read books about sex but old enough to be treated like adults in the legal system

Ummm if you KILL SOMEONE, yes, you should be treated as an adult b

From the Washington Post obit, a passage that won't inspire much sympathy despite Drayton's efforts:
[quote]Although Ms. Perry never watched it, the film “turned her life upside down,” her biographer, Joanne Drayton, said in a telephone interview Thursday. By the mid-1990s she was a conservative, matronly figure and devoutly Mormon, according to Drayton, who likened Ms. Perry to Angela Lansbury in CBS’s “Murder, She Wrote.”
[quote]The film “blew her evolved identity out of the water and she was absolutely terrified,” said Drayton, who spent days with the author during her research for the 2012 biography “The Search for Anne Perry” — which, like many of Ms. Perry’s own historical crime novels, was a best seller.

R6, okay, so kids are adults now? Cool. Let them read whatever they want and do whatever they want
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 13, 2023 6:27 PM |
Her story is fascinating, how could you live like that. Never read one of her books though i like crime fiction. Are they any good?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 16, 2023 7:01 PM |
Some of her Victorian mysteries are good, and some aren't that interesting. I haven't read enough of them to give a complete picture, but I liked the ones about the shabby police inspector, they were clever and well-researched. There's another series about a married couple in Victorian London, which isn't as good.
I haven't read any of them since I found out she was one of the murderer girls from "Heavenly Creatures", which BTW is an utterly fantastic movie! Highly recommended. HIGHLY.

I really wonder how her fellow Mormons reacted to the revelations about her past?
Those cunts will criticize fellow Mormon women for ANYTHING, from gaining a pound to failing to be able to afford Chanel bags when she's got five kids and a garbageman husband. What the hell did they say about an actual murderess???

When I was a teen ager I was crazy about Ann Rule and all of her books and short pieces on crimes. The books on the Black Dahlia, Helter Skelter. Charles Starkweather. . . I had one “Big Book Of Crime.” I think that there was a photo of Myra Hyndly on it. It covered the Juliet Hulme Pauline Parker “moida” of Pauline’s mother. I don’t remember a lot about it but they described the sound of the brick blows on the mom’s head. Awful. . ….. I can’t read that stuff now. It is like roller coasters - it is fun when you are young. But the crime stuff is to real and scary for me now!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | April 16, 2023 7:32 PM |
As far as Anne Perry being upset about the movie and her reputation with her audience and her fellow Mormons - I bet that she was far more upset about the lesbian stuff than the murder!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 16, 2023 7:37 PM |
I read a lot of Anne Perry's books and thoroughly enjoyed them. PErfect beach read or travel read. Certainly better than the garbage James Patterson writes.

Psychopathy isn’t something that one decides, hon. You either are or you aren’t. Psychopaths are a danger to society. It’s not trans.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | April 16, 2023 8:37 PM |
Although trans is a dangerous ideology in and of itself.

Britain must have the most child killers on the planet. It’s one after another.

Mary Bell was one of the worst child killers. Girl is a psychopath. I think she’s out and has a kid now.

What is "sad" about a murderous psycho who only served five years living a long and seemingly somewhat wealthy life?
Her fascination with "true crime" only cements that she's a psycho who got away with murder, even if she served a few years in prison.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | April 16, 2023 8:47 PM |
she is female; therefore, teen or not... she was never responsible for her actions because she grew up in a world dominated by men and as DL fraus will tell you, women are incapable of thinking ahead. There's no way she could have planned this. You're all misogynists. Males are worse. the victim, her friend's mother, was probably a narcissist, anyway.

This bitch was able to travel and live in the US after a murder conviction. I don't care if she was famous or if she was only 15 when it happened...that's fucked up.

Convicted felons should never be allowed into the US, especially murderers, no matter how old they were when they committed the crime.

R30, Britain has tons of children who killed under the age of 10. For such a small country, it somehow has some of the worst juvenile killers in history.

In Heavenly Creatures that was a very realistic and brutal reenactment of the mothers murder. It really bothered me for quite a long time. I wasn't expecting that scene to be as graphic as it was.

how dare you laugh at mommie dearest, that movie was horrifying, so says the majority of comments as countless women retell the torture they experienced at the hands of their mothers.

or virtually every other thread here dealing with women. Brigid Fonda - fat and let herself go or mentally unstable from years of narcissistic abuse?

R3, yes it seems she is. She relocated to England in the 1960s and lived a very quiet life (spent mostly in prayer) in Essex until she was discovered in 1997. She moved to a remote island in Orkney off the coast of northern Scotland where she lives today.
She and Anne (Juliet) never met again.
