Ha! Personal trainers are some of the worst behaved in almost any gym. And I HATE people who work out right in front of the dumbbell rack. It's just stupid.

I decided I liked him when he responded to an Instagram post from a young gayling who had just started going to the gym and was feeling sad and defeated because he was being bullied by a bunch of straight assholes there.

Joey gave the kid a ton of encouragement, then gathered his own friends together to tape a message to the kid and offer to let him come work out at their gym any time he wanted to.

I thought that was sweet.

Most guys who start out approachable on social media cave in and sell out once they get monetized. Over the years, several guy-next-door types I used to follow started out as humble, grounded guys who just happened to know they were good looking and could maneuver a camera.

I like the guy. His takedowns of bad gym behavior always remind me how thankful I am I train at gyms that don’t attract these types. I appreciate the aspect of “positive gym bros” and believe it’s something to be highlighted more.

R25 I just took that deep dive and found zero Trumpy/MAGA content. None at all from Sept thru Dec. I could infer nothing about how he voted.

He sure is obsessed about going off on other people in the gym being narcissistic, or filming strangers without consent, or being bullies. That’s like 90% of what he does.
