Kentucky's Dem governor, Andy Beshear

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

(Not that I hope for it but ) I think he will be Vice President very soon.

Beshear would be a great choice for Democrats. Somebody who has won statewide office in a red state. Dem Southern Governors tend to get elected too (Carter, Clinton).

Democratic senators from blue Northern states also tend to get elected, R2. There isn't a magic biographical bullet, which is what I think most people are looking for when they bring up this guy (and Mitch Landrieu, and Roy Cooper, and John Edwards back in the day).

I spoke with him at a recent meet and greet in California.

You can tell he’s a very decent Southern man, cares deeply about public service (his father was also Gov of Ky), and is definitely an ally of LGBTQ.

Not the typical politician (looking at you Gavin Newsom, whom I’ve also met).

He has a flat ass and bucked teeth. Now the Governor before him, HE was a hot piece of ass for sure.

Why do you hate Gavin Newsom so much? Gavin is articulate and earnest, he can't help it if he's extremely good-looking with slick back hair. I thought he was too handsome years ago but he's proven himself to be a good governor in CA and he's a fighter for democracy. You know that democracy is being taken away state by state by Rethugs (hello, Tennessee, Texas, FLA).

Gavin is such a goddamn dummy. It's a shame. I'm sorry, and I've always loved him, but he's a political disaster.

Gavin's going nowhere nationally with his touting reparations. That appeals to 13% of the population - black - and nobody else. It's an election killer.

Does Andy Beshear even want to run for POTUS? He doesn't seem that ambitious.

His dad was Governor, he is. They ALL want the top job. His daddy didn't set him on this path to stay in Kentuck.

He seems modest which I like unlike attention whores like Pete and Gavin.
