I haven’t looked at the latest crime figures but NYC does feel safer to me than it did a year ago. The subwqysn are definitely in better shape with plenty of cops. The big problem right now seems to be among black teens with access to guns who kill to settle beefs. NYC is still a relatively safe city compared to most in the US.
