Both born the same year (1996), and both have shown some real acting chops, though I don't know if Dickinson has done stage work. Mescal looks like he'll hit real stardom sooner, assuming the Gladiator sequel isn't as awful as Ridley Scott's last film about the Guccis.

I think they're both hot in their own way. Dickinson is more conventionally good-looking, though I wouldn't call his face handsome. Both have very nice bodies.
Acting-wise, I'd say Mescal has shown more talent so far. Dickinson was terrific in BEACH RATS and was one of the two performances worth watching in that lousy film of WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING. But he was mostly window dressing in THE KING'S MAN and was outshone by Feinnes, and he was good-but-not-exceptional in TRIANGLE OF SADNESS and SEE HOW THEY RUN, so hopefully he'll get some roles that show what he can really do.

I really like Dickinson's performance in MURDER AT THE END OF THE WORLD, especially the scene in the bathtub in the most recent episode.
Has anyone seen his recent film SCRAPPER where he plays a wayward dad coming back in to the life of his 12-year old daughter?
As for Mescal, he was excellent in NORMAL PEOPLE, but I barely recall him from THE LOST DAUGHTER. He was fine in AFTERSUN, but I wouldn't call it worthy of an Oscar nomination. Both CARMEN and FOE were bombs (not his fault, though). I am looking forward to seeing him in WE ARE ALL STRANGERS. Has anyone seen his film GOD'S CREATURES with the marvelous Emily Watson?
