What makes Johnny Depp eccentric?
Everyone always talks about how quirky and eccentric he is. But in what way? Is it because he used to play cartoonish characters and hangs out with rock stars and writers?
I know he paints and plays music, but lots of people do that and they're not considered eccentric and whimsical. Even back in the 90s, he was called a beat poet. To me, he seems like an aging man whose brain has slowed down due to years of alcohol and drug abuse. Watching his during the trial was painful; he speaks so slowly and rambles.

Frankly, while I do think he still has some redeeming qualities, I also think he tries WAY TOO HARD with that eccentric bullshit. He's just a drug attic & an alcoholic, with major psychological issues. Not eccentric. Just fucked up.

Also he looks like he smells and had addressed these rumors in the past insisting that he's obsessed with smelling good at all times and only looks like he stinks.
However, given his substance abuse issues I find that hard to believe.
