Anyone else in flomax?

I am taking it and have not had this reaction. It is a side effect, but not for most guys.

R1, I get every fucking sexual side effect when I take medicine. When I tried propecia, of course I’m the one who gets all the weird impotence problems, so I stopped. Hopefully there’s something other than flomax that helps because I can’t live life like this

I have taken it when I am having kidney stones issues... the no coming freaked me out so when I have to take it, I do not do anything until it's out of my system

You don't say how old you are, OP but take it from this oldster--it only gets weirder, and then you finally learn to live with it.

The condition is called "retrograde ejaculation" as the semen ends up in your bladder rather than coming out the penis. I had some prostrate surgery a few years ago because I was never fully emptying and this procedure corrected this. The side effect unfortunately was retrograde ejaculation. You still come and have an orgasm but there is no "money shot'. I've gotten used to it and save a lot of money on Kleenex!

Masturbation without ejaculation is truly an unpleasant experience. That's why I stopped Flomax.

After stopping Flomax, how long does it take to get back to normal?

I was prescribed Flomax for pelvic floor tension/pain. I was taking it for around 6-months and it helped that issue. The 'reverse ejaculation' was the worst. I think it is far more common than the literature lets on, because the PA at my Urologist's office said that I should expect to have that side effect. I was lucky that I could stop taking it after my symptoms subsided.

Ok, I've been on it for a month now and had to do a search for Flomax on DL to see what you queens had to say about the reverse ejaculation issue. Am I I alone in actually liking not having to deal with cum all over the place? Easier cleanup and I never enjoyed dealing with mine or anyone else's jizz.

Happens to me too.

On the plus side, no clean up.

I've had no issues with ejaculation, but I have issues with dizziness when I bend down for any length of time...weeding the garden, for example.

I love jizz.

Does semen in the bladder cause any issues?

I'm on Flomax and I'm still having issues. I wake up in the middle of the night to pee with a weak stream, I sit for 5 minutes or so, and often I can't tell if I'm even peeing, but I am, enough to relieve the pressure, and then I'm awake for an hour or so...sucks.

at what age did you start noticing problems?

I'm 62, starting maybe 2 years ago.

I'm 44 and noticed around 39/40. Flomax seriously helps me pee like normal...it's great.

I’m on 2 for years for the benignly enlarged prostrate thing, for years. The Doxazosin at night and the Finasteride in mornings. Since starting on the two altogether, definitely I’ve noticed my moods slipping more frequently not really rescuing for feeling the urge to do how. Weird.

I also had retrograde ejaculation (“backwash”) while on Flomax. I don’t have this issue with Alfuzosin (a prescription alternative to Flomax) and I supplement it with Chinese herbs that I buy from my accupuncturist With that said, different bodies respond differently to different meds.
