For what it’s worth while I think Bash really likes the cast and is genuinely friends with a bunch of them, I think due in part to living in London and in part to being a child actor who kept in good touch with his friends from that, the Heartstopper cast aren’t necessarily his closest or main “industry” friends the way they are for everyone else. HS was the first time (that I recall) where Kit worked with a lot of people his own age and obviously the first professional job for most of the others, so they are each other’s main acting friends. Bash has stayed tight with Nell, Emily Carey, Ty Tennant, etc.

Tbf to her (a first for me) it is her book that’s been banned so it gives the piece heart and context.
