I had no idea, I only discovered this today when I tried to leave my TV on for a stray cat I recently took in to keep it company as I had to leave for a couple hours. Yikes.

Kotb and Bush host the fourth hour of the Today Show. It's not really their own show; it's part of the dreadful Today Show.

R10 Jenna Bush is extremely calming and has a face and personality that works as co-host to a Daytime TV show. Despite her father being one of the most transformative and disruptive modern presidents, and her grandfather being the former head of the CIA and a president, she comes off shockingly normal-ish on TV.

Even her WH stories are sort of relatable because the Bush daughters were in college living away from DC during Bush’s presidency.

So, like the rest of us, she sort of had a looking in from the outside perspective that makes being a presidents kid a little tolerable. Instead of stories about going to State Banquets or dinner with the queen (which she has). She’ll spend me time talking about her wild and crazy college years or marriage.

The girl is smart and she gives me the same every as Laura Bush. Damn it, I ended up sort of liking her on TV.

I still can't believe that overpaid knucklehead Hoda, when she knew she'd have a guest on the next day who would be discussing old horror films for a Halloween segment, didn't go home the night before, then do her fucking homework and research the subject. How is she paid so much to do so little?!

The next day, on Halloween, when the vintage horror film expert mention Bela Lugost portrayed Dracula in the vintage films, Hoda mouthed [bold]"Who is that?" [/bold] and shook her head. It was not cute, it showed her fucking ignorance and laziness. To think this jerk is worth millions.

I remember the great Sue Simmons telling Chuck Scarborough, that a lot of the people she had to interview on their Live At Five segments, she had no idea who they were, but she always went home the night before to prepare for the next day's interview segments. Sue read the guest bios, watched the film a performer starred in etc.

Sue is a professional, Hoda sure isn't, she comes across as a moron. Hoda seems to gush over people she's a big fan of. It was obvious, Sue Simmons was let go from the local NBC news because of her age, but Sue was always the consummate professional, apparently NBC doesn't seem to care about professionalism.

I stopped watching this hot mess years ago. No, I'm not a frau, I'm a gay man who has worked from home since 2006, I always keep the TV as I work. I need a presence in the room.

R15, she’s just as hyper as Hoda is, IMO. Or you and I have a different understanding of what “calming” means. I always have the impression that these two are trying to get people to FEEL things (mostly getting fraus to open their wallets or feel “moved” by some inspirational garbage). They seem to have the demeanor of giggly girls at a sleepover to me.

But they’re not the worst pair on morning TV, and seem to get along.

Jenna joined NBC as a contributor to Today in 2009 and became co-host with Hoda in April, 2019 when Kathie Lee Gifford left the show. Jenna regularly filled in for Hoda or Kathie Lee on the 4th hour prior to becoming co-host.

This pairing has been around for years.

I remember seeing videos of how nicely the Bush daughters treated the Obama daughters during the 2009 transition. That kind of endeared them to me.. Especially after the way the Trumps treated the Bidens.

R18 Hoda is clocking in nearly 4 hours of non-stop daytime TV daily. The are working her to the bone. So if she’s doesn’t research every guest, that’s fine, her cohosts should. But Hoda has one of the most demanding TV jobs right now. Most do 2 hours, she’s doing twice as much work on somewhat live TV going from real news to fluff. It’s a lot.

Hoda is paid an enormous amount of money, as are most of these TV hosts. Hoda can't do her research for a holiday segment? Give me a break, especially when she knows weeks in advance there will be a special holiday show, such as this Halloween horror film segment. Jenna was not a cohost at the time and Hoda interviewed the vintage horror film expert by herself, I don't remember where Kathie-Lee was. It was Hoda's segment, she didn't do her job.

There is no excuse.

Sue Simmons never cursed while during a broadcast, definitely not on purpose. There was a live 'bumper' segment announcing the upcoming news broadcast, the live feed cut away from Sue and yes, Sue did say "What the fuck are you doing?" Sue obviously thought the camera was off.

Sue never purposely cursed while on the air. Everyone who met Sue never had anything bad to say about her. A former work colleague's close friend worked with Sue, he said she was great.

Hoda looks like a denizen of Bedrock.
