Impressive as always, but unless it's a tasting menu, it's very rich. I'd be full after the first course.

Thanks, R4.
I will be sure to serve portions that are small enough so that people can eat everything.

I think you need to braise a few more things.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | March 22, 2023 5:15 PM

I know, R7. It's not intentional, but the pork, the carrots, and the cabbage will all be braised.
No matter. It will all be delicious.

Or, pizza for delivery and a 6-pack of beer. Homemade dump cake with ice cream for dessert. Group sex, afterwards, for activities and exercise to take off the extra poundage.

R14 Is that Greg? If so, he is hot!
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 23, 2023 12:31 PM

R13 it’s because “Defacto” is as unappealing on the inside as she is on the outside. No friends. So this pig comes here and spews rightwing hate like any Breitbart zombie, then wants to chat and be friendly so pretends to be a German gay guy or cooking gay.
But as you can see from r16, it’s just a pathetic black hole of need.

I hate passive-aggressive control freaks, only partly because they don't know how to develop a menu for dinner.
One expects flakes of gold leaf on the pig shoulder. And a proper menu includes selected beverages throughout.
But that's not the point with DL pests, is it, or the misplaced barnacles oozing about such bilge.

[quote] Sounds great as always. Could I come sometime? Also, what do you like your guest to bring? I assume you would blanche at the wine or a dessert. Flowers?
Thanks, R14. I have no expectations about what guests might bring. These guests, however, will bring wine for dinner and probably another gift or two. Last time they came they brought wine, a beautiful cookbook, and some kind of nice chocolates. The husband is a serious wine collector and keeps a collection of 4,000 bottles of wine someplace (not in their Cambridge condominium). He always brings wine because it’s a source of joy for him. He is the type who will never order wine in a restaurant because with the 300% markup on top of what would be extremely expensive wine, it’s just too much money.
I might add that they are spending the night.
I am happy with whatever guests bring.

There will be no gold leaf anywhere. It’s very tacky.
I can’t include the wines we’ll be drinking because the guests are bringing the wine from their collection.
I will happily share what wines we have with dinner when I report back on Sunday. I’ll also share photos if someone will tell me how

Saturday night’s dinner was a huge success. The company was fun and the food was very tasty. On Sunday morning we had a breakfast casserole that I made on Saturday and just had to bake off. And I made some biscuits and fruit salad. A very nice weekend.
