Inside With Jen Psaki - premiere (3/19)

Just a few minutes in, and Psaki knows what she's doing. Engaged, attractive, and well-spoken. If it continues this way - she has a hit on her hands.

by Anonymousreply 58March 22, 2023 3:21 PM

Jeffries is her first guest and the interview is going well, despite that it's yet another zoom interview and not in-person. This is getting distracting - especially with the faint echo we can hear of her asking the question before he answers. It's time to bring guests back into the studio. It's been 3 long years of zoom interviews.

by Anonymousreply 1March 19, 2023 4:14 PM

She's smart and likeable, she'll do fine.

by Anonymousreply 2March 20, 2023 12:18 AM

I think there's promise - a lot of promise. As for the first show, she did do very well. I'm just tired of zoom interviews. She's a natural for a political TV show.

by Anonymousreply 3March 20, 2023 12:31 AM

The cunt is great at lying -so she will do well

by Anonymousreply 4March 20, 2023 12:54 AM

Can she bring on Ayman in shorts?

by Anonymousreply 5March 20, 2023 12:55 AM

I don't care enough to watch her show, but the Zoom interviews HAVE to go. None of these people have figured out how to properly conduct themselves on a camera. They refuse to mute their phone notifications or tell their spawn to pipe down in the background. Talking over each other with the delay like buffoons. End it and come back to the studio or don't speak at all.

by Anonymousreply 6March 20, 2023 12:57 AM

I wish AYMAN would appear on anyone's show in just a Speedo. For the record, I can't find any photos of him online where he's posing without a shirt on. I want to know what kind of chest / torso he has.

by Anonymousreply 7March 20, 2023 1:02 AM

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Fit- fat and hairy chest.

by Anonymousreply 8March 20, 2023 1:06 AM

R8 And the nips? The nips are pivotal.

by Anonymousreply 9March 20, 2023 1:09 AM

I thought it was a very strong debut.

She's a good interviewer, smooth on camera. Her commentary on the war on wokeness was well written, and her out-of-studio segments with Whitmer and Adams were interesting.

by Anonymousreply 10March 20, 2023 1:11 AM

You seem lost, the squirrel barbecue is down the road.

by Anonymousreply 11March 20, 2023 1:12 AM

R8 Proof please !

by Anonymousreply 12March 20, 2023 1:26 AM

Thank you Jen Psaki PR

by Anonymousreply 13March 20, 2023 1:28 AM

r11, SQUIRREL!!!

by Anonymousreply 14March 20, 2023 1:59 AM

I wonder why Ayman was banished to weekend evenings? He seemed to be moving up weekdays and then gone.

by Anonymousreply 15March 20, 2023 2:22 AM

She was a horrible press secretary.

by Anonymousreply 16March 20, 2023 2:28 AM

She was literally the best secretary in my lifetime

by Anonymousreply 17March 20, 2023 2:34 AM

Regarding Ayman Mohyeldin, he is a two box minority: Egyptian - Muslim. Ali Velshi is also Muslim and did a lot more for MSNBC during the Ukrainian exodus. Ayman is just another pretty face. Should have gone to law school.

Rashida is holding on to Katie Fang as she is a female-asian-attorney. Three boxes. If you want to add the Stephanie Ruhle box, you can also add mommy.

by Anonymousreply 18March 20, 2023 2:35 AM

Oh dear, r18.

What about Shitta and Twatta?

by Anonymousreply 22March 20, 2023 3:03 AM

Jen is an idiot. Glad she is gone from the WH.

by Anonymousreply 23March 20, 2023 3:07 AM

She needs a better showerhead or stylist, her hair is flat.

by Anonymousreply 24March 20, 2023 3:13 AM

Her crackling upspeak is very soothing to the ear.

by Anonymousreply 25March 20, 2023 3:13 AM

Jen made the FOX, Newsmax, and OAN reps on the WH Press staff, look like fucking idiots.

Jen is brilliant.

by Anonymousreply 26March 20, 2023 3:13 AM

She needs a panel.

This weekend, political newszine format they are attempting (like Symoné) is kind of boring. Perhaps she should have went to CNN.

I want to see her playing Hardball with a good, "balanced" panel.

by Anonymousreply 27March 20, 2023 6:43 AM

R27 Jen IS boring

by Anonymousreply 28March 20, 2023 6:54 AM

I want a solid hour of Jen beating the shit out of Trumpista talking heads.

Maybe turn it into a game show format.

by Anonymousreply 29March 20, 2023 2:10 PM

R29 You mean HUNGER GAMES format ?

by Anonymousreply 30March 20, 2023 6:44 PM

[quote][R29] You mean HUNGER GAMES format ?

Sure, why not. Add some random torture to the mix.

by Anonymousreply 31March 20, 2023 7:01 PM

Steve Doocey probably wraps his balls in barbed wire and beats off to it

by Anonymousreply 32March 20, 2023 7:51 PM

Like the show, hate her hair.

Now all MSNBC has to do is send Yasmin Vossoughian packing.

by Anonymousreply 33March 21, 2023 12:02 AM

She has fine hair. They need to set it in rollers to give it some life and tart up her makeup a bit.

by Anonymousreply 34March 21, 2023 2:04 AM

Her hair has its own twitter account. Frighteningly Trump complimented her on it at a rally.

During the show she kept giving me vibes of Kyra Phillips, vintage CNN reporter.

by Anonymousreply 35March 21, 2023 6:24 AM

Psaki made a rather impressive debut on Sunday afternoon, with 1.1 M viewers tuning in, doubling the audience tuning into CNN (Jake Tapper). It was MSNBC's "most watched weekend premiere" since January, 2019. MSNBC's previous 12 noon - 1 pm Sunday show was average half her audience.

You have exceedingly low standards r17. The name Psaki is a synonym in Russia for incompetent. They had a whole show dedicated to her incompetence. She's been a laughingstock since Obama presidency.

by Anonymousreply 37March 21, 2023 4:20 PM

R26 is delusional.

by Anonymousreply 38March 21, 2023 4:21 PM

She did all right. I want her to have the same confidence she had behind the podium. Like, I don’t want her to be friend, I want her to be authoritative. Like just stare down the camera and tell it like it is. With confidence.

by Anonymousreply 39March 21, 2023 4:30 PM

R39 Agree ! If she maintains that stance, she will have a hit on her hands. We don't need another marshmallow behind the desk who will laugh at everything, and try to be friends with every guest she has on (I'm talking about Nicole Wallace). She needs to remain a bit cool and authorative.

by Anonymousreply 40March 21, 2023 4:35 PM

R37, I knew it would be red.

by Anonymousreply 41March 21, 2023 4:48 PM

r37, Is that your talking point from RT?

by Anonymousreply 42March 21, 2023 5:10 PM

Not that it's saying much but she was the smartest person working in the Biden White House.

by Anonymousreply 43March 21, 2023 5:12 PM

Then she should have been Chief of Staff...

by Anonymousreply 44March 21, 2023 5:15 PM

Everyone sucks their first few weeks at least. Conan, John Stewart, Stephen Colbert (both shows) Craig Ferguson and Jimmy Kimmel are all shows I watched the first few episodes of and they were pretty bad. She's doing better than any of them did their first month.

by Anonymousreply 45March 21, 2023 5:36 PM

If she plays her cards right, she could possibly replace Alex Wagner on weeknights. Her show is just awful.

by Anonymousreply 46March 21, 2023 7:01 PM

She will do well, I wish they'd give her a weekly show instead--maybe they could get rid of Andrea Mitchell or Jose Diaz-Balart and give Jen that spot.

One bit of criticism though (if her producers are DLers)--please tell her to tone down the hand gestures, they were really distracting.

by Anonymousreply 47March 21, 2023 9:30 PM

^ Sorry, WEEKDAY show

by Anonymousreply 48March 21, 2023 9:30 PM

I love Alex Wagner. She’s so clever, always makes me laugh. She’s hilarious.

by Anonymousreply 49March 21, 2023 9:40 PM

Jose Diaz-Balart is the epitome of boring. I have to tune out whenever he's hosting a show.

by Anonymousreply 50March 21, 2023 9:45 PM

My favorite MSNBC host is Lawrence O'Donnell. He's the best.

I like them all, but I give honorable mention to Alex Witt, Stephanie Ruhle, Nicolle Wallace.

by Anonymousreply 51March 22, 2023 3:17 AM

I didn't care for Hallie Jackson. I'm glad she's gone from the MSNBC lineup.

by Anonymousreply 52March 22, 2023 3:18 AM

I can't warm up to Lindsey Riser.

by Anonymousreply 53March 22, 2023 3:19 AM

by Anonymousreply 54March 22, 2023 3:33 AM

I watched the premiere and it was ok. But, the title is so boring.

by Anonymousreply 55March 22, 2023 3:34 AM

She has lank hair. Like Maggie Smith.

by Anonymousreply 56March 22, 2023 3:54 AM

[quote] My favorite MSNBC host is Lawrence O'Donnell. He's the best.

Yes. I've cycled through favoring each of the evening hosts - currently in a Chris Hayes phase.

But I really do miss Brain Williams. Never thought I'd say that, but I do.

by Anonymousreply 57March 22, 2023 8:38 AM
