Johnny Depp: In which movie did he look his most attractive?
And which movie did he look his worst? Not including the cartoonish characters with heavy make-up like Edward Scissorhands and Willy Wonka.
I never found him attractive with short, slicked back hair, like in Donnie Brasco, Crybaby or Public Enemies. A clean cut look doesn't suit him.
He looks way better with long hair and facial hair, like in Chocolat, Blow and From Hell, the first pirates movie. He also looked good in the last season of 21 Jump Street,

Sleepy Hollow. He was gorgeous in that film. Things have taken a dark turn since.

Nick of Time, which was probably his most commercial movie (thought it didn't make much). He was dressed very preppy, with glasses and a suit.

R16, I was going to say Private Resort, too. He was really cute and charming in that and showed off his ass.

His ass was alright, but it wasn't much compared to Rob Morrow's plump pillows.

Dunno if most would consider it his "most attractive" look, but I personally found him most attractive in "Benny & Joon."

Rob Morrow did have the better ass. And such a cute smile, too.

Cry Baby in the sewer, in his underpants. John Waters knew EXACTLY what he was doing.

Depp was at his most beautiful in Nightmare on Elm Street. He looked attractive enough in Sleepy Hollow, The Ninth Gate, and Pirates 1. Other than those films, I don't really think of him as being especially attractive. Not hideous but not gorgeous either. Certainly not in the last 15 years. Depp is a character actor who was able to become a leading man through the spectacle of genre blockbuster movies. He hasn't looked good since the mid to late 2000s. Depp has done so many costume-heavy films since Pirates that he somehow looks worse when playing a regular person unaided by fanciful makeup and wigs.
Depp has said he doesn't want an Oscar, but Joaquin Phoenix said the same thing only to turn around and smartly campaign during Joker. After his drawn out legal battle with Heard, I'm sure Depp would welcome getting back on top with a fat Disney paycheck and career Oscar. If Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Matthew McConaughey, Will Smith, and Brendan Fraser can get Oscars then so too can Depp (three nominations) and Dafoe (four nominations). They just need the right vehicle and campaign.
I'd say it's time for Depp to hit the gym, med-spa, and get some cosmetic surgery to take off at least 10 years of hard living.

R26 The unsealed court docs showed what an abusive monster he was during his relationship with Amber. He won the trial in Virginia and had a team of online bots to make him look popular beloved/to spread hate about Amber. After the trial celebrities unliked his victory instragram post because of the unsealed documents.
I feel like an Oscar nom would be too much attention and it would just backfire. People would bring up the trial and the witch hunt he put Amber through, and he'd be cancelled for real this time.

No one cares about lengthy, confidential/classified/sealed documents except nosy journalists and high paid lawyers. This thread is about the most important thing: his looks!
