Brett Goldstein is the New Jon Hamm
And Hamm was the new Bruce Willis: actors who achieved success long after their shelf life was supposed to have been up.
Goldstein, who is hot AF, is 42 and had a couple of minor acting and writing roles prior to Ted Lasso, but now has Emmy wins and a serious career ahead of himself.
Willis and then, later, Hamm, were always cited by people who hung on to their dream after age 30, the icon for guys who hung in there and finally got their break.
Great article if you are a fan of Goldstein.

Bruce Willis got "Moonlighting" when he was 30 -- not exactly "long after their shelf life was supposed to have been up."

He's also the new Jon Hamm in that I think everyone who finds him hot is finding his fictional alter ego hot, and once that alter ego is gone, it's questionable whether his talent and/or his persona can carry big roles.
He's undoubtedly talented, but I wonder if his talents are best used as a writer or behind the scenes person, versus being an actor and/or on camera.
And yes, I would lick every inch of him. Twice on Sunday.

I can't with people like him who artificially lower their voice because they're ashamed of their real one. Unfortunately, I have a very sharp ear for this sort of aural illusion and it's like nails on a chalkboard whenever my brain clocks a faker.

R8 He uses his real, higher-register voice in real life, silly.
That’s one of his he things that fascinates me about him: I started listening to his podcast Films to be Buried With expecting the rock-chewing Roy Kent gravelly-grumpy voice, but he’s really soft spoken with a gentle sweet genial tone. Quite the contrast. He’s absolutely lovely, fucking hilarious and a big softie. I’m a bit smitten.

He strikes me as the guy who gets off on being the ‘good’ guy irl, because of all the adoration he receives, and not because he genuinely wants to be the ‘good’ guy.
