"Boy Meets World" star is running as a Democrat for Adam Schiff's seat in California.
I always thought Fred was a Ron Howard type, straight arrow child star but sounds like he has been a naughty boy. Has Ben anything like that to hide?

I think he’s Centrist, which might be okay, but I don’t know what a California Democrat Centrist looks like. Probably still hard left (pro-trans, etc).

He should play flashback Albert Brooks

Topanga is running for Governor.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | March 8, 2023 4:08 PM |
I was under the impression that he was a Republican…

He received one of the lowest vote totals in a field of twelve when he ran for City Council in West Hollywood last year. He's delusional if he thinks he has a shot at a Congressional seat.

I hope he doesn't quit like that stupid cunt Melissa Gilbert. Remember when Melissa moved to Michigan and launched a Congressional campaign. Then she quit. I had so many laughs when that happened.

Ben performed better in the WeHo City Council election than anyone expected. He came in 7th out of 12 candidates in the Nov. 2022 election.
He received 2,330 votes in an election where the highest vote getter received 6,070 votes and the lowest vote getter got 662 votes.

I have no problem with real Centrists.
I voted for Clinton, Obama and Biden - Centrists all and the country has done well under their leadership. I have no idea if Savage is just a Republican in Centrist drag or an actual Democrat, we'll see.
I'm glad Schiff is moving up to the Senate in Dianne's seat.

West Hollywood City Council is an entry-level political office, R8. I don't think you can spin a seventh place finish for a celebrity as anything but disastrous.
It's the type of position that is made for someone who has high name recognition yet no experience, and yet Savage finished well behind, among others, a former council member who was embroiled in scandal.

Did he ever come out of the closet? That might help him.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | March 8, 2023 5:55 PM |
He's handsome.

Few in West Hollywood were taking Ben's candidacy seriously. Most people in West Hollywood were expecting him to get 1,000 votes or less. The fact he got double that raised many eyebrows among WeHo residents. "Disastrous" is not a word being used among WeHo voters.
But it also showed the power of the union since they threw some support Ben's way. UNITE HERE has been involved in local elections in the past few years. Without the union support, Ben likely would have performed about as people were expecting him to.

His rhinoplasty is unfortunate.

R11 it's pretty much understood by everyone that he's gay by now. Perhaps he doesn't see the point. That doesn't excuse cowering in the closet, though, especially if you live in fucking West Hollywood.
Watching the later seasons of 'Boy Meets World' over, it's quite incredible how much innuendo crept under the radar about Cory's sexuality (and Ben's by extension).
by Anonymous | reply 17 | March 8, 2023 10:38 PM |
He's not gay, he dates in Europe.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | March 9, 2023 4:28 AM |
He's going the neolibral/conservative route and getting a beard to marry.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | March 9, 2023 5:12 AM |
He's got a nice open face. I like him already.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 9, 2023 5:22 AM |
Pathetic. If I lived in California I would not vote for him.

KEEP ACTORS OUT OF POLITICS
by Anonymous | reply 22 | March 21, 2023 10:39 PM |
Sorry, but we do not need any more celebrities running for elected office. At least 95% of them are narcissists with no experience, no qualifications and are looking for prestige, power and to be in the public eye.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | March 22, 2023 12:21 AM |
I hope he remembers how things turned out for Andrew Gillum LOL.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | March 22, 2023 12:26 AM |
R24 But at least he served as a city commissioner and then mayor. But his loss for governor did give Florida Ron DeSantis.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | March 22, 2023 12:29 AM |
There is an AGC blind about him being linked to pedo Marc Collins-Rector. Hmmmm....
by Anonymous | reply 26 | March 22, 2023 12:35 AM |
At least he’s not a MAGAt.
So many of these former child stars have become MAGAts.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | March 22, 2023 12:41 AM |
Does Adam Schiff know? I love Adam.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | March 22, 2023 12:45 AM |
The left has its share of narcissists and crackpots too. We don't need this guy running for office.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | March 22, 2023 12:51 AM |
Coincidentally (as he's running for Congress), he just go married . . .
by Anonymous | reply 30 | March 22, 2023 1:18 AM |
Man, he's got a really bad nose job.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | March 22, 2023 1:28 AM |
I thought he was conservative too. Maybe he's one of those crypto-GOP Democrats but given background (former child star, Jewish and gay), he knows it's better to run as Democrat.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 22, 2023 7:37 PM |
I feel like he’d have to be Republican for this to work. Republicans vote for Hollywood.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 22, 2023 7:49 PM |
R2, most CA Democrats would be considered conservative in Europe or other developed countries. Despite your trans obsession
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 22, 2023 7:50 PM |
Tjese "actors" need to stick to "acting". They have no clue what the real world is about.

He LOST
