Just sayin'
Men who ejaculate at least 21 times a month have a lower chance of getting prostate cancer

When I jerk off random guys, it's because I'm helping them lower their prostate cancer risk!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | March 6, 2023 2:06 AM |
I need to jerk off more. I've gotten out of the habit as i have gotten older. I just can't be bothered. But I guess I need to make the effort. My weekly sex with partner is all I can muster too. I'm tired.

r2 Pretty sure prostate cancer is quite rare in the demographic you're targeting Kev.

the general thought is younger (13-24) should do less, older should do more.,..
and a bit of direct prostate milking from the time they hit 25 and on...

^ and pissing after ejaculation has its merits on other grounds. (oddly, tho, many guys don't like to.)

Everybody take a break from DL and go rub one out - now.

Once a day seems to work out well for me. I keep one in the chamber till bed time. If no takers, we reset the plumbing.
That way we are not to frisky and not too drained. It’s the sweet spot.

Recently, I have started going onto Chaturbate once again so that I can watch and jack off more frequently. Sometimes I prefer to just watch and edge for a while without ejaculating. But for the past few months I have made an extra effort to spew my jizz all in the name of maintaining a healthy prostate.
By the way, I just had a PSA blood test a couple of weeks ago. My PSA level is at a record low of .02, and I'm in my 60s. So maybe shooting my goo more frequently is working.

^^but I don't do it 21 times a month as OP's thread headline states.

I should start an app for Prostate Milking. Like Uber. You press a button on your phone and I'll show up to milk your prostate. Please be in the ready position on all fours when I arrive. Milkd? Loadz?

At 50 and 60, I was single and jerking twice a day. I still got sent to the urologist, because my PSA was too high.
Around 70 I got a very high PSA and was given a biopsy which showed no cancer yet. The PSA remained high and it became hard to pee. Finally, my urologist gave me a roto rooter procedure which calmed the PSA and allowed me to pee normally.
At 80 still fucking on a regular basis and everything is fine. I suggest OP's thesis does not apply to everyone.

by Anonymous | reply 30 | March 7, 2023 12:02 AM |
R27, thank you for your post.
I’m 56, after repeated PSA tests, my result is 3.88 mcg/1. Recently I had an MRI and the urologist informed me today that based on the imaging, I need to have a biopsy. They said my prostate was 83g and a normal prostate is 25g. They also said the imaging showed “suspicious areas”.
If there’s anything you, R10 or others here can advise in terms of impact and recovery from the biopsy or maybe even beyond, I would be grateful. Thanks.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | March 27, 2023 7:27 PM |
R31 I've had three prostate biopsies. You'll have no last impacts from them.
You will, however, have some short term grossness. Your ejaculate will be nothing but blood for about 2 to 3 weeks. It's a horrifying sight, but you really do need to ejaculate regularly to get all the blood out and get your innards back to normal.
I would jack off, and when the "moment of truth" came, I'd look away, have a towel handy, and immediately wipe up the carnage.

I have always been a chronic masturbator. When I was 18-20 it was four or five times a day. Sometimes I wonder how I had the time.
Now, in my mid-forties, I am about twice a day. I have a wank after lunch and then just before falling asleep. I used to be toilet masturbator but now am pretty solidly doing it in the bed.
The one big problem is that I use porn to get off and it’s hard if porn is not available.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | March 27, 2023 8:04 PM |
R33, do you beat off twice a day out of habit or because you’re actually horny and need that release? I’m in my mid 30s and have a fairly high libido, but I’m always conscious of whacking off too often - everyday at some point inevitably demotivates me in other ways (eg - less desire to actually meet other guys - I’m single).
by Anonymous | reply 34 | March 27, 2023 8:12 PM |
R11, I'm 61 and I masterbate 3 to 4 times a week. I thrive by routine so it is Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. About 6 months ago, it seems like I have lost some stream so more on t3 times a week now.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | March 27, 2023 8:14 PM |
Thank you, R32. Really appreciate the advice and hope that you are well.
After reading this thread yesterday, I masturbated and shot ejaculate up to my neck. I’d kind of lost some interest in the last several years, masturbating maybe once every 7 - 10 days but I’m going to do it a lot more now, to enjoy ejaculating while I can and hopefully appreciate being able to do so going fwd.

R36 One question. Will you be awake for your biopsy or will you be under anesthesia? I've done both, and under anesthesia is the way to go.
If you do it while you're awake, the injections to numb the prostate area are painful, and even with the numbing, you'll still feel some pain during the biopsy. It's not unbearable, but it's not pleasant.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | March 28, 2023 12:58 PM |
There was a time in my life where I needed to do it daily.
These days, while I still enjoy doing it, it's a lot of work and can't be bothered more than a few times a week.

Hello R38 and others here. So the procedure I'm having on this Tuesday morning, is "transperineal ultrasound guided biopsy" with local anesthetic and is described as the NHS thus:
The prostate biopsies are taken with a device that contains a spring-loaded needle. The needle is inserted into the prostate gland and removes a tissue sample very quickly. You will hear the click of the "gun" as it is used to take a biopsy. Normally, between 24 and 38 biopsies are taken. You may feel a brief, sharp pain as the biopsy needle is inserted into the prostate gland" Erm, 38 times??!!!
The "gun" reference is particularly unfortunate. This is in stirrups as well. Oh boy.
Does anyone have any experience with this? R38? What should I expect?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | April 16, 2023 3:46 PM |
R45 I've had this, but I wasn't in stirrups. I was on my side, and they inserted the needle in that way. You do hear the snaps, but you get numbing injections first, so there's no pain when they take the samples. There's actually more pain from the numbing needles.
It's really not bad and it doesn't take very long.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | April 16, 2023 4:22 PM |
I asked both my GP and my Urologist about this and both told me it's a myth.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | April 16, 2023 4:30 PM |
Hey R46 and others, just wanted to report back. As R46 said, the biopsy wasn't that big of a deal but I can see where it would freak out a hetero man who might not (or maybe they are?) be as familiar with their prostate/under carriage as most gay men are. Even just the exposure, in stirrups, would probably freak them out, as well as the numbing needles. I had four injections, it wasn't anything to me. I was really lucky, I had an excellent team of nurses, etc. I really felt confident that I had the best care possible.
The "snaps" were as R46 described, like the sound of a toy really. I didn't feel anything. I think they freak you out about it in advance so that the reality of it is so much less than that.
I didn't have any side effects with my urine, no problems with recovery. They said it might cause temporary erectile dysfunction and lack of libido but I had just the opposite, I have no idea why and it sounds silly to say it but I think the procedure was good for me in that regard because everything is much improved on that front. When I ejaculated later that night, I ejaculated bright red blood - I mean, it would've been perfect for Halloween. After a day or two, the ejaculation was more reddish brown, then brown, and now, 2 - 3 weeks on, it's like part semen, part brown blood. I imagine it should return to regular operation within the next week or so, and just be regular semen.
The good news is: my biopsy results were NEGATIVE. Not even a pre-cancerous cell among the samples. So I'm grateful for that. I think I would've had some good treatment options if it had been positive but I'm relieved this is where my journey with this ends, for now. They said I have to have a PSA test every six months for a while and then that interval will be longer. Even when you think you're handling something like this well, it's not until it passes that you realise it was a bit of a weight. I'm really pleased.
Thanks to those who provided support on this thread and maybe it will be of use to someone else going through this in the future. Thank you. :)
