Just read the article and the heading is purposely misleading! It gives the impression that Jamie Lee took an aggressive stance on her "Nepo Baby" status and said that people should just "stop whining". This isn't true.

Her actual comments were more passive-agressive. She was attempting to poke fun at her "Nepo Baby" status. But her whole speech was her way of explaining that despite it, she still had to work & pay dues.

Jamie Lee is in fact losing more & more of her marbles on a daily basis as of late but she said nothing wrong here.

R11, I think you're correct. And I say that as someone who just defended her at R9. Jamie expressed her true resentment about being labeled a "Nepo Baby" in a recent episode of the podcast "Depresh Mode". I can't remember her exact comments and she's too tiresome for me to relisten to the whole podcast, but she definitely came across much more aggressively on the subject.

Regarding the podcast, I found her honesty & seeming lack of superficiality refreshing. She lost me when towards the end of the podcast she broke down while reciting prose.

Didn't she just talk about that last night? I swear I just read that she said she had a seven year contract at 18 years old because of her famous parents and got fired three years in. And that it was a blessing in disguise because then she was cast in Halloween and that's when her career really started.

I don't think she feels personally offended or attacked by the "nepo baby" comments. I feel like she's trying to defend a whole generation of young actors who are always being called "nepo babies".
