Kelsey Grammer is a victim.
"Kelsey Grammer won't apologize for his faith: 'Jesus made a difference in my life'"
by Anonymous | reply 70 | February 28, 2023 3:59 AM |
Frasier probably would think he's nuts.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | February 27, 2023 4:39 AM |
I am the LORD thy God
No other gods before me
No graven images or likenesses
Not take the LORD's name in vain
Remember the sabbath day
Honour thy father and thy mother.
Thou shalt not kill
Thou shalt not commit adultery
Thou shalt not steal
Thou shalt not bear false witness
Thou shalt not covet

And here I was thinking it was the succession of progressively younger girlfriends and wives...

A diaper fetish made an even bigger difference in his life.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 27, 2023 4:44 AM |
Lilith made a bigger difference.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | February 27, 2023 4:44 AM |
R3 That reminds me, where's that person who always posts a link to that story about Grammer having sex with his kid's underage babysitter in every thread about him?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | February 27, 2023 4:45 AM |
People shouldn't apologize for their religion, as long as it is not crazy.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | February 27, 2023 4:45 AM |
I just saw the trailer for this yesterday and it doesn't look half bad, especially from a technical viewpoint. Was about to create a thread asking if anyone here was involved with this particular cult back in the day.
Had no idea Grammer was a religious nut, I just thought he did it for the money.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | February 27, 2023 4:45 AM |
These Christians can't read. They choose not to follow the basic instructions their faith offers.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | February 27, 2023 4:47 AM |
Like any other faith-based movie, the cast consists of a right wing has-been and a bunch of nobodies.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | February 27, 2023 4:47 AM |
This is the first I've ever read about Grammar having and religious or spiritual inclinations, r8. The timing is awfully suspicious...
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 27, 2023 4:51 AM |
The main character, Lonnie Frisbee, was a closeted gay man who died of AIDS in 1993.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 27, 2023 4:53 AM |
Oh well - all respect I had for Grammer suddenly evaporated.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | February 27, 2023 4:56 AM |
These people really think some mentally ill Jewish guy who lived and died thousands of years ago (maybe) gives one singular shit about them and their lives.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | February 27, 2023 4:57 AM |
[quote]People shouldn't apologize for their religion, as long as it is not crazy.
No one is making him apologize for it. Christian wingnuts love to paint themselves as victims of the godless liberal mainstream, without a shred of evidence.

Who amongst the cast of Cheers WASN’T pro-Trump and/or anti-Vaxx? Ted maybe?

Jesus never said men can’t wear women’s lingerie.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | February 27, 2023 5:24 AM |
Who asked him to? Its the political beliefs and serial cheating I've seen people take issue with.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | February 27, 2023 5:27 AM |
Funny, but I never felt compelled to get all religious. I also never crashed multiple cars and potentially killing someone. Never had an alcohol and drug problem, never been accused of fucking an underage babysitter... and yet someone like him has the audacity to be a very fucked up individual who votes for the type of hypocrites like himself who judges everyone but themselves and would fuck over everyone who acts the way they do.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | February 27, 2023 5:31 AM |
Makes sense. I’ve come to conclude that Jesus was a Republican, since he seems to bother with those people more and be all up in their business. Personally it reaffirms that I was right in not wanting to get involved with Him from the get go. I have no use for Jesus or Republicans. None at all.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | February 27, 2023 5:31 AM |
r12, Grammer has complained regularly, about once every 5 years, about being a religious conservative in Hollywood. He insists it's held him back.
This despite the fact that "Cheers" kept him on even though he did hard time for drugs while the show was running, and then he was given his own show, and everyone involved with "Frasier" worked real hard to keep the fact that he was arrested for fucking the underage babysitter out of the press, and that he keeps getting his own shows over the years even though they all bomb, AND he's gotten dozens of nominations and a shit ton of wins -- including a Tony for production -- yet he still claims he's being blackballed by "liberal Hollywood."
I'm sick to fuck of this guy. I'm sick of hearing him whine despite being given about 100 chances more than he deserved. I'm sick of him using his political and religious views (and drugs and alcohol and a series of easily manipulated young women) for no reason other than to create an artificial victim status for himself, just because he never really got over a shitty childhood.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 27, 2023 5:35 AM |
He's stupid AND untalented. A perfect Chuck Norris figure for the right, but lacking machismo, they won't claim him.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | February 27, 2023 5:36 AM |
That's actually good point, r25. He may be more upset that his fellow rightwingers see him as a liberal elite because of the Frasier character, and that's what's chafing his delicate hide.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | February 27, 2023 5:38 AM |
Another fucking right-wing asswipe fuck-up given multiple chances by LIBERAL Hollywood despite not deserving those chances being criminal swine. Another right-wing asshole who benefits from his vote not actually being how he's made to live his life.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | February 27, 2023 5:41 AM |
[quote]I’ve come to conclude that Jesus was a Republican, since he seems to bother with those people more and be all up in their business.
Not an astute conclusion. It's more that they distort Jesus and his teachings to serve their agendas. Many of them are exactly what Jesus chastised and warned against becoming, but they conveniently ignore that.

I don’t think Woodys a Trumper

I’m not taking advice from anyone who thinks he’s God…and not even A God, but THE God
by Anonymous | reply 30 | February 27, 2023 5:55 AM |
R13 I don’t think Frisbee was closeted toward the end but yes for most of his life and ministry. He was conflicted. And a very important person in the Jesus People Movement, the hippie evangelicals. I read somewhere that most of the evangelicals abandoned him as he was dying but that some gay Christians gathered around him and gave him support. I would like to think that was the case.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | February 27, 2023 8:29 AM |
Jesus said nothing about wearing diapers to get off; but did forbid divorcing your wife except in cases of adultery, Kelsey.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | February 27, 2023 8:55 AM |
I don't have a problem with anyone expressing and sharing their faith - but it's a problem when people start legislating their faith.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | February 27, 2023 9:44 AM |
Exactly who is ASKING him to apologise?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | February 27, 2023 9:53 AM |
Kelsey is an asshole.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | February 27, 2023 10:23 AM |
He's probably hoping for "Roseanne" like ratings from various cults for his Fraser return.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | February 27, 2023 10:42 AM |
R29 just a complete anti-vaxxer nutcase, that’s bad enough. And so fucking dumb and uninformed.
I have to tell you though , if someone had ever told me when he was on Cheers and just starting to do movies that 30/35 years later he would STILL be relevant enough to be hosting SNL I would have thought they were absolutely insane. Certainly no actress with his range of talent (very good within a very, verrrry small range of characters) and looks (cute for about a minute) would have had anywhere close to a lasting career at his age - she would have been relegated to Hallmark movies long ago.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | February 27, 2023 11:20 AM |
I'm looking forward to seeing this show. I think it'll be good.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | February 27, 2023 11:22 AM |
Hollywood is a very liberal place. Very woke these days. Therefore, they are very anti-religion. They openly mock people who believe in God and angels... while at the same time they honestly believe in transgender dogma and that people can switch genders. Go figure!
by Anonymous | reply 39 | February 27, 2023 11:28 AM |

Except for Islam. The Left is very supportive of them.

Jesus made a difference in his life? Did he do that when Kelsey was wearing adult diapers for sexual gratification? Did he do that when Kelsey was fucking his underage babysitter?
In the immortal words of Jethro Tull, "If Jesus saves then he'd better save himself."
by Anonymous | reply 52 | February 27, 2023 3:57 PM |

Woody Harrelson seems like he lives in his rich, pot-smoking bubble. He can isolate on one of his properties (real estate) and travel / fly privately, so he can be anti-vaccine. If he gets sick, he can get the best health care money can buy, full blood transfusion, etc.

YES, I also noticed this, this is absolutely true, 'former' druggies, alcoholics and sex addicts always seem to need another crutch and inevitably, it's always religion!
I have family members like this, they were heavy drug users and alcoholics. None ever believed in any sort of God, now they are regular church goers, one became a Roman Catholic, the other, a crazy Evangelical. They both live in blue states. When they contact me, all they talk about is religion. I make sure to now screen all my phone calls.

by Anonymous | reply 59 | February 27, 2023 5:48 PM |
That link at r56 is something else. Look at this gem:
[quote]“Christian Privilege” classes, workshops, and lectures have been in vogue for the past several years. At George Washington University, diversity workshops teach that “Christians enjoy a privileged, easier life than their non-Christians counterparts, and that Christians possess ‘built-in-advantages’ today.” In other words, Hispanic Catholics who clean the toilets of filthy-rich atheist students and their pampered professors are the “privileged” ones.
What an absolutely repellent thing to say. These people consider themselves good, moral people when they write things like this? That last sentence hits all their resentments/prejudices: Hispanics are meant to clean toilets, atheists are "filthy rich" and apparently all exploit Hispanic workers, and those evil liberal professors are all "pampered". Fucking gross.

Grammer had a reported net worth of 80 million dollars last year. This year his reported net worth is the same. What's missing here?

I believe he has changed.

A victim!!! Evil liberals!
[quote]For Kelsey Grammer, this could mean only one thing. “We buy houses pretty much anywhere we go,” she says, her tone revealing her sense of humor. Among the souvenirs they have picked up on earlier trips are a ski house in Beaver Creek, Colorado, and a farm in upstate New York to accompany their main residence, a five-acre estate in Malibu.

by Anonymous | reply 66 | February 27, 2023 7:28 PM |
Is that a joke @r56? The Catholic League is led by lunatic Bill Donohue --who I can't believe is still alive-- and full of bullshit. They want to pretend the course is an attack on ALL Christians when it specifies "“white Christian privilege.” Donald Trump is the embodiment of that privilege. A vile pile of excrement who was allowed to rise to the office of the presidency.
It's interesting that suddenly the Hispanics they like to demonize and denigrate are fellow Christians when it's convenient. So they're Hispanic drug dealers and rapists when you want to attack them, but they're "Christians" when you need to make yourself look like a victim of religious persecution.
