KJ is Samoan and European. His father is Samoan and his mother is of European descent, but he grew up in New Zealand.

Drew Ray Tanner is a different story.

I started digging for information on him because he was in an episode of Supernatural, and I thought he was cute.

But I couldn't find anything about his ethnic background.

Interestingly, he posts tons of stuff on his social media about "accepting himself" and his multi cultural background, but he NEVER reveals what it actually is.

So I kept looking and looking, and stumbled upon a website that finally revealed his background.

Apparently, his surname from birth is Chinese. Not only that, but he's also part First Nations indigenous from a tribe in British Columbia, Canada. AND, he is Jamican black from his grandmother.

Which is why a lot of people have a hard time figuring out his ethnicity. He's basically a mix of a whole bunch of things, which I think is cool.

But it's off-putting that he won't just come out and say it.
