Meghan Markle feels 'excluded' from coronation plans, sources claim
Meghan Markle feels 'excluded' from the King's Coronation meaning she and Prince Harry may not attend as a result, sources claim. The Markles are both said to be 'weighing up' whether or not to fly over for the ceremony on May 6, according to The Spectator
Well, Lady Markle, the coronation is not about you.

She’s not a working royal because she quit, along with her husband. The coronation is state occasion, not a family one. They have no role, so of course they’re not included. Get over it.

What Coronation plans does she feel she ought to be made part of? Why does she think she would be part of the planning at all (even if she hadn't spent the last few years shitting on the family and the country as a whole)? Does she think that someone like Sophie, for example, is helping to plan it?

Sources claim in tabloid speak means the tabloid are legally in the shit if they post the article as fact. Any tabloid that uses Sources claim in their article heading is doing it because they can't verify with proof that what they are stating is fact. It is an opinion or a lie. It's a fictional story. If you peruse today's dailymail 4 stories about the Sussex have Sources claim in the article. So stop angsting over fiction.

This couple say a lot bullshit, r37. No need at all to take then at their word. Remember when they insisted the never helped with Finding Freedom, only to have whole text and email chains to the contrary coming out in court?
It is consistent with their characters, statements and track record to want to sue. I am CERTAIN the first thing they did after the show aired was to call the lawyers. Who promptly told them that in America, they have no case. Hence the new statement denying they would ever countenance suing South Park. Hogwash.
Thay are famously litigious and Herry said part of his "life's work" will be to censor the media and social media. Of course they want to sue. They know, however that they can't win.

Many of the "ridiculous things" she's done were really just stories like this planted by tabloids with fake "sources," and bolstered by trolls, like the incredible disappearing Herry Troll who ran off as soon as r45 pegged them for what they were.
I would wager that easily 90% of the ridiculous things that Meghan has supposedly done come from tabloid articles or so-called royal reporters who, if you read closely, were simply "theorizing" what might happen, but which never came true.
How many times have we been told that they are going to sue someone, and it never happened? Dozens, at this point.

Are you fucking high, r49? The newspapers didn't force her to have that ridiculous party in NYC. The newspapers didn't force her to chuck an entire section of Wimbledon tickeholders out of their seats for a champion match just because she wanted to watch in isolation with her friends - when there was a Royal box at her disposal the whole time. The newspapers didn't force her to tell fact-checkible lies on Oprah. Hell, did the newspapers force her to plunge her hands into her crotch in order to cradle her bump in the most disgusting manner imaginable every time she was on walkabout being photographed.

Your little list is cute, but let's be real: You're not on Datalounge making comments like that and calling blacks the n-word just because you think she was acting like a snob at Wimbledon, or because Angela Levin told you "Meghan told 50 lies to Oprah." [quote]newspapers didn’t invent the OTT baby shower or the Wimbledon drama (I think she was wearing trendy ripped jeans? not permitted in the Royal Box)
They did, though, at least about Wimbledon. I don't know what the baby shower or NY party comments are about, but the Wimbledon thing I just looked up, and the tabloids absolutely made up a lot about it that wasn't true.
She came in a hat and jeans and those are not allowed in the royal box, but she was never intending to sit there. She even brought two friends with her that could not have been in the royal box with her, so obviously she wasn't going to sit there. She was sitting in the area for friends and relatives of competitors, and even though the tabs said she insisted all the seats around her be empty, there are people clearly sitting right behind her and right in front of her.
You can dislike her asking people to not take photos of her all you want, that obviously happened, but the tabloids weren't satisfied with that and made other stuff up. That's the problem with this Meghan hate and all these stupid threads, it's that so much of it is made up. People have gotten so irrational about it that they're not content with what REALLY happened, that's not enough, there has to be more, and the more outlandish and implausible the better.

R93, I know people were saying that the people directly behind her were security, but there's a photo of her security guy asking a guy to not take photos and it's not the same guy as the one behind her. Others in the audience are wearing lanyards so I don't think that them having a lanyard means they're security, necessarily.
Also, the guy who was taking a photo of her is the guy you can see two rows ahead of her, and they didn't ask him to move, he and his family were already sitting in that row when she arrived.
There aren't that many people in that section anyway, it just doesn't observably look like she forcibly removed a bunch of people.
I can see people griping that she asked that guy to not take a photo, or that she dressed casually and went with Americans to see her American friends compete and that irritated British people, that's all understandable. The rest of it about her being forced out of the royal box, or cordoning off the entire area for herself, seems either wrong or at the least exaggerated.

[QUOTE]The duchess is said to be “obsessed with her half-sister’s litigation.”
She should be. She and Harry have been ordered to provide testimony in Samantha's defamation case in the discovery phase. This will mean hours looong depositions where they'll be repeatedly questioned by a hostile attorney for the petitioner -- an experience that Harry, at least, has never had to face. He's only started being questioned by the press and the public these last few years and it's driven him into an unholy tizzy. Imagine a smart attorney holding his feet to the fire.
I'm sure Meghan has faced hostile environments in her climb up to the C list, but she's always been able to rely on her skills for mendacity. And who "fact checks" in Hollywood anyway? They'll be under oath. I'm not sure if the 5th amendment can be invoked in a civil case.
Also, I've read that Jason Knauf has been asked to provide testimony. Remember, he was the conduit to Omid Scobie for Finding Freedom. It came out in the DM case that Meghan communicated to him to make sure Scobie knew that Samantha had had children by different men. If that isn't an attempt to smear or slut shame, I dunno what is. (Ironically, slut-shaming was one of the topics of her Archetypes podcast). He'd be key to providing evidence of Meghan's history and willingness to attempt defamation.
Finally, (sorry about the tl;dr) IIRC, Samantha is asking for a small sum. I don't think it was over $50K. JFC, if true, the Sussexes could have protected their Love, Kindness, Unicorns, and Doritos brand by just settling with no admission of responsibility (unless Samantha refused?) Now, their grandiosity and arrogance is leading them down the path of humiliation. I suspect Gordon Getty's people have their ears to the ground.

R95, regarding Mrs Harry testifying in the deposition, that Youtuber who posts about Mrs Harry's narcissism has said in the past that court cases, where other witnesses testimony might disagree with the narcissist's is one place where a narcissist is exposed. I seem to remember that he said they cry in court when that happens.
Will the deposition become public record and available for viewing?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's popularity has slumped to an all-time low in the US, where they are now less popular than the disgraced Prince Andrew, a shock poll has found. Since December last year, Harry has sunk 48 points and Meghan 40, giving them net approval ratings of -10 and -17 respectively, according to a survey by Redfield & Wilton for Newsweek, conducted on February 19. While Andrew is still viewed negatively following his New York civil trial against his sex accuser Virginia Roberts, his net approval rating sits at -2, with 26 per cent of Americans saying they like him compared to 28 per cent who do not. The Sussexes' nosediving popularity across the pond comes just days after they were royally mocked by South Park - a satirical cartoon famed for having its finger on the pulse of American culture. The couple were lampooned in an episode aired on February 15, which was entitled The Worldwide Privacy Tour and depicted them embarking on a publicity blitz to promote the Prince's new book, Waaagh.

Funny r97, Alex Murdaugh’s on the stand blubbering in his own defense in court as I type this.
I don't know if this can become public. Documents from other civil cases have.

What's so wonderful about the plummeting likeability and approval ratings is that they really can't even attempt to blame Buckingham Palace leaks and the British press as the cause because there haven't been any.
Their ratings were just fine after the Oprah interview even though they were caught in a number of lies. BP sources have been awfully quiet this last year and a half or so, but Harry and Meghan can't refrain from talking, and talking, and talking. Boring UN speech, pedantic and boring podcast, calling Senators announcing herself as the Duchess of Sussex, keeping Gayle King in the loop and trying to imply the Queen didn't have the right people around her, the disastrous Cut interview, a really looong docuseries including mocking a curtsey to the Queen, and finally Harry's tell all and talk show appearances demanding apologies.
But of course they won't shoulder any responsibility themselves. Who's left to blame? Sunshine Sachs, J.R. Moehriger, Penguin editors and legal department, their own legal team, their new PR?

They benefited from the fact that they weren’t really known in the US. That is also probably why Andrew is not as unpopular as they are now. He’s not really covered regularly in America.

Maybe they already have a plan to retire as rich celebrity “villains”

^^Yes, you can invoke the Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination in any formal court proceeding.
Whether deposition testimony becomes public is a matter for the Court to determine on an ad hoc basis. Clearly Smegs will move to have any such testimony kept under seal, and the Judge would have to make a decision. A competent attorney would make CERTAIN to take the depositions of the Harkle-Markles on video, rather than as simple text transcriptions; to be able to get them out to the press, as needed, the goal being to capture La Harkle on film, lying, raging, and screaming under oath, if possible.
