This show is so fkin. I’m on episode 4 now. Best show since Mad Men.

I for the life of me cannot figure out the relationship between Jen and her husband. But this is riveting television. Billy Cudruft is so sexy as a young looking old person and has this neurotic energy. It’s so fkin compelling. Fuck the SAG awards, I’m binge watching the 2nd half of the first season.

The season one finale was so overwrought that I couldn’t tell if it had achieved some sort of new camp: painfully earnest progressivism meets martyrdom with faux-feminist stilted outrage as a closer.

It’s a hollow, bloated, misguided mess of a show.

I couldn’t bring myself to look at season two.

Season 2 will confirm all suspicions that Steve Carell called his agents and said, "I don't care what you have to do. I don't care if I have to give all the money back. I don't care if I have to pay THEM. Just get me the fuck off this trainwreck."

R5 does season 2 go off the rails? Season 1 is brilliant. Please no spoilers.

I loved season 1, liked season two enough, not sure if I finished season three. Same with Succession, though.

I loved Season One. Binge watched it a second time immediately after finishing it the first time.

Season Two has its moments, but definitely lacks the brilliance of Season One.

The second season is pretty much garbage and keeps getting worse as it goes along. No spoilers, but IMO the ruin the Crudup character.

Despite what a previous poster said, there have only been two seasons so far.

I loved it at the beginning, but then it was just constant high drama and I gave up.

The fact that both female lead characters have traditional boy names bugs the shit out of me for some reason. They couldn’t be “Elizabeth” and “Lisa” because that’s just too “network TV” and this is APPLE TV so the characters have to have “cool” names: “”Alex” and “Jackson.”

I just saw the Season Two finale. Alex Levy's Covid streaming show is mind-numbingly awful. All I can compare it to is the second act of "Springtime for Hitler" in the original Mel Brooks movie. My friend who watched it with me said, "Jennifer Aniston must be really stupid if she didn't insist on a rewrite. Or maybe she did and that was the result."

Not a persuasive argument for a writer's strike. Whatever they got paid for this, it was too much.

I read that they strong-armed Jennifer into showing her breasts to win the college boy viewership

Season 1 was very entertaining, but man was season 2 a messy slog of nonsense. So bad it left a bad impression of the whole show.
