I couldn't get through five minutes of it.

Nia was my favorite. Not a very strong dancer - but lovely kid. She's at UCLA now.

R9 ughhhh the pervy male judges grinning as they watched that. hope those men rot. and to cap it all off Abbie just sat there smugly eating bonbons in the front row as if nothing is amiss about making preteen girls do that in those outfits. jfc

oh, so THAT's where JoJo Siwa came from. I never knew. Now, back to my binge watching of Petticoat Junction...

JoJo had the last laugh. She got that sweet Nickelodeon platform, set up her own YT channel that thrived, then raised her profile further on her own by coming out right when it became trendy.

And it seems like she's always known her worth and had a knack for picking her moments, whatever you think of her gimmick or abilities. Looking back at the Dance Moms tapes, she was always the bravest and most vocal of the girls about standing up to Abbie. Don't mess with a babydyke in ribbons & a sparkly leotard.

^ with her, I'm thinking the lesbian thing might be a fad. It seems like so many women experiment but it doesn't stick....you rarely see that with men.

R13 when she's not dancing, her body language and way of walking/standing/sitting is very dykey (speaking as one).

What I find so curious is that JoJo's relationship with Abby was once so antagonistic, but now JoJo is older and has flown the nest so to speak, they seem to have great affection for and loyalty to one another. JoJo has even returned to Dance Moms to guest coach and sit in, all the while joking with and teasing Abby like an equal. Maybe Abby's cancer changed the dynamic.

Nia was on a soap opera for awhile......she was okay as an actress.....

Chloe is a lesbian and in college. She seems quite bright and well-adjusted.

Remember the dance “the last text” where she had the little girls getting into a violent car crash because of texting and then dying one by one? I don’t even think there was music - just sirens 😂

So many lol moments in this show. The early seasons are great.

The only Dance Moms-related thing I've seen is this deranged performance.

Abby vs Cathy.

Abby is a character Divine would have played. Thats why I loved this show.

Chloe was always my favorite. Maybe because she was a baby lesbian with anxiety.

I remember Brady, the first boy in ALDC. here his mom reveals that his brother is gay. Mom... so is Brady.

Brady's turned out quite nicely.

I shame-watched this the whole time it was on. I am pretty upfront about having trash taste for television, but I never told a soul I watched this garbage. Until now.

Abby truly was a ogre (she was a guest on WWHL once and was so terrible Andy swore she'd never be back again,) but the mothers were just as horrific for subjecting their children to all of it (real or fake.)

Abby was also blatantly and unashamedly racist. Her treatment of Nia was often times cruel. She choreographed a "character dance" for someone to play (I believe) Rosa Parks and forced Nia to AUDITION (as the only black dancer) to play her. He only other stand out solos were Harriet Tubman and the LaQeefa one. And her mother (with a doctorate in education) just sat there and let it all go. Just the worst.

I'm truly happy for whatever success JoJo and Maddie have had, and I hope they can afford to be far away from their Gorgon mothers.

The show got dark when it expanded beyond the original group of kids in Pittsburgh. They brought in that horrible Kendall and then Kalani (both ended up becoming Trump supporters) and then eventually moved the show to LA and brought in an additional group of younger kids who looked like they were out of toddlers and tiaras. I stopped watching at that point.

But those very early seasons were wild. Very funny.

I think Abbe and Cathy (from Candy Apples) are best friends in real life. The rivalry was compelled made up for TV

I'm a tash tv watcher, and this show was the best and worst of reality TV. Say what you will about Abby, but she never adopted a kid to live out her dreams, to then use them as a prop with a pulse ala Vivi. I am legitimately surprised she went on to cheer given how animated her dance performances were...
