Susan Hayward was a wonderful if sometimes over the top actress of enormous talent and presence. I cannot believe I'm older than she was when she died.

Interesting that OP's clip didn't touch upon her cause of death allegedly related to the 1956 film "The Conqueror." Out of the 220 people who worked on that film in St. George, Utah, 91 developed different forms of cancer and 46 died, including director/producer Dick Powell, Susan Hayward, Agnes Moorehead and John Wayne. The filming location had received radioactive dust from nuclear testing over a hundred miles away, and while filming they stirred up that dust and inhaled it. Also, 60 tons of dirt from the location was shipped to Los Angeles in order to match the Utah terrain and lend realism to studio reshoots. Although several of the dead were smokers, several of Wayne's and Hayward's relatives visiting the set also had cancer scares. Wayne's son Michael developed skin cancer and Patrick had a benign tumor removed from his chest. Hayward's son, Tim Barker, had a benign tumor removed from his mouth.
