My husband and I ran two businesses together. I don't know how our relationship survived TBH. We were constantly in couples therapy. For those worried about the ‘Live’ aspect of the show, they do about 260 shows a year but only about 135 are actually ‘Live’. The rest are pretaped. When Kelly & Mark are on vacay (which is often) they’ll pretape the opening and then repackage interviews. The show has it down to a science. Last season, there were only about 110 episodes out of 260 where Kelly and Ryan were live together.

She tried again to get Cohen as her co-host but the management was against it. Gelman the exec producer hates Cohen. There is a lot of bad blood between the two. He is friends with a lot of the execs at Bravo as well as the production companies for RHONY and BH/OC. Cohen taking credit for creating RH really pissed a bunch of them off, even negotiating exec producer credit on all of them. He was not letting Cohen in his show. Seacrest was the option they went with, him being the most milk toast middle of the road, non-sexual man they could think of and he was already under ABC contract with Idol. It was a direct kick in the nuts to Cohen. Seacrest was the guy behind KKUTK and Shas on Bravo. Andy could not bitch it was because of his reality background. Ripa lost again but this time she could not play bully. She was replaceable too. She played nice this time knowing Seacrest was not going to stay. Beacause she did, she got her second choice. Mark.

I am guessing Gelman will be retiring or leaving soon, which is why Mark got the job. He knows it is a train wreck waiting to happen. The two of them are good in small doses but living together, being on TV together for that long? Something is going to break. My guess is Ryan's final week will have huge ratings, Live with Kelly and Mark will tank in the ratings and guess who will get the blame? Kelly and Mark.

I don't know. I understand why people might not like Kelly but for those who actually watch the show I think she is the reason they tune in.

Gelman does not like Cohen at all for two reasons, one mentioned above and the other is Cohen knows Gelman had been in many a gay club before he married his wife. He knew Cohen was a snake at Bravo and a celebrity sycophant. That was the last thing he needed. The goal was to add viewers and they thought Strahan being ex-football and black would bring in a different audience. He tested well with Kelly. Kelly never thought Strahan would be named co-host. Cohen thought he had it in the bag too. When he was ousted at Bravo he didn't care because he thought he was going right to ABC. When that got pulled he went full-on bitch at Bravo, threatening to tank the housewives franchise unless he got what he wanted. They gave him a vanity EP credit on all franchises of the housewives, a first look deal at any show his "production" company produced and would allow him to use Bravo to populate his Sirius Channel. Cohen proved he could be as messy as Gelman thought he could be and would never be named a co-host.

After not having seen Kelly and Mark after a while, I saw the teaser for their new show. What has Mark done to his face? I didn’t even recognize him. I did recognize Kelly because her hair and voice are the same. They went too far, IMO. She was looking good for a long time, but went a little overboard.
