Where else will you hear so many Mid-Atlantic accents in a TV series? Where else will you see an unbelievably gorgeous, uncredited George Clooney play a waiter and an uncredited Andy Garcia play a murderous mugger? Where can you see 70s fashions perfectly preserved on an 80s show? And the hairstyles--Dorothy Hamill serf cuts, the artichoke cut of the 60s, the perm, the side pony. Not since Peacock's "Poker Face" has the protagonist laid out the theory of the case to the murderer in excruciating detail with no concern about being the next victim. And what fun it is to look up the cast on IMDB and announce which ones are dead and the last year they did anything in the business to your spouse, friend, cat or dog. It is truly an embarrassment of riches.
The many pleasures of "Murder She Wrote"

I couldn't agree more, OP. One of my favorite activities is watching an episode of Murder, She Wrote and then going to IMDB to find out who is still living from that episode, as well as to read the reviews of the episode (there are usually only 3 or 4, though there is one reviewer who has reviewed every episode and has a set template for their reviews which I always look forward to reading).
