We know Tom is an incredible actor but he's never gotten a whole lot of attention for his looks. Personallym I always thought he had guy next door appeal especially in the early years of his career and a pretty decent body without a shirt. If you could travel in a time machine to the 80's, would you hit it?
He had a nice bubble butt back in the day.

Yes.
And even as an older man, he is still attractive.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | February 12, 2023 8:31 PM |
No. He was never hawt.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | February 12, 2023 8:31 PM |
Yes R1 and BDE as well.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 12, 2023 8:33 PM |
No, never. In Bosom Buddies, Peter Scolari was the hot one.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | February 12, 2023 8:33 PM |
He's awful in bed. You can just tell.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | February 12, 2023 8:36 PM |
No, and he's not an incredible actor.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | February 12, 2023 8:36 PM |
Nice body in the photo at OP.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | February 12, 2023 8:37 PM |
Well the academy obviously feels differently R7
by Anonymous | reply 9 | February 12, 2023 8:39 PM |
Another vote for Scolari.

His Portuguese ancestry was really apparent when he way younger. If he was a bit shorter he'd look like an average guy you'd see on the streets of Lisbon.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | February 12, 2023 8:54 PM |
Attractive in a boyish way (I love dark curly hair), but not "hot" or sexy. Maybe in some alternate universe where he never played characters like Forrest Gump and Mr. Rogers, but I just can't see him that way now.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 12, 2023 8:54 PM |
He’s okay, but from that eighties era and type, he can’t hold a candle to Steve Guttenberg.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | February 12, 2023 9:12 PM |
That’s hard to argue with, R14.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | February 12, 2023 9:14 PM |
You lost me at incredible actor.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | February 12, 2023 9:14 PM |
Well stay lost R16
by Anonymous | reply 17 | February 12, 2023 9:19 PM |
Well, yes, the man in that photo I would.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | February 12, 2023 9:23 PM |
He' such a potato face now but yeah I would've hit it when he was younger. Frisky energy like a puppy in his early rolls.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | February 12, 2023 10:47 PM |
R13, well, he had been suffering from cancer in the last years of his life.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | February 13, 2023 1:06 AM |
He was cute for about five minutes, ca. "Splash".
by Anonymous | reply 21 | February 13, 2023 1:10 AM |
He was adorable when younger, no question.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | February 13, 2023 11:34 AM |
Niiiice chest at r14. Was Guttenberg short? He seems like a shorty.
Young hanks was cute. Up until Sleepless in Seattle. Then he was not cute, but definitely not unattractive.

Splash is the first movie where he was passably attractive and for the most part retained it for the rest of the 80s. By the early 90s the cuteness started to wear off a little and he started to look hardened. In the movie "A League Of Their Own" he had a weathered look to his face that wasn't there earlier, but Tom was never an ugly man by any means.

r14 Goots was such a dreamboat.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | February 13, 2023 10:31 PM |
Scolari was my favourite in Bottom Buddies as well.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | February 13, 2023 10:32 PM |
That red speedo is terrible.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | February 13, 2023 10:34 PM |
I’d hit it if I didn’t know that from 1995 on he’d only do movies that were Oscar bait.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | February 13, 2023 11:21 PM |
Yes.

OP, I asked my parents to rent Turner & Hooch from Blockbuster more than once. And it wasn't for the dog.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | June 26, 2023 2:58 PM |
R31 He's giving fierce hole presentment and ball dangling.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 26, 2023 3:08 PM |
Did this come out before PHILADELPHIA?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 26, 2023 3:15 PM |
R33 - yes. Turner & Hooch (1989), Philadelphia (1993)
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 26, 2023 3:19 PM |
Like the above poster, Turner & Hooch was part of my sexual awakening. One of those "friendly family films" of the period where sneak sex appeal took me by surprise while sitting on the couch next to my parents and I had to move a pillow over my realization
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 26, 2023 3:20 PM |
He was cute and charming. Never sexy.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 26, 2023 3:35 PM |
I had an erotic dream about him 40 years ago.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 26, 2023 5:05 PM |
Well r34, now we know why Demme hired him 🤭🤭🤭
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 26, 2023 5:10 PM |
Definitely fuckable in the 80s. Tall, nicely proportioned body. Cute face.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 26, 2023 5:22 PM |
Can't say that he is unattractive then, but...Peter Scolari.
Jerked off many times to Scolari's legs in shorts in the opening credits of 'Bosom Buddies.'
I've always thought Peter Scolari was the better actor of the two and should have had a bigger career than he had. He was brilliant in 'Newhart'; I can't remember thinking Hanks was brilliant in anything.

by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 26, 2023 6:03 PM |
I prefer Colin.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | June 26, 2023 6:08 PM |
I find Tom Hanks attractive usually, at any age, unless he is in a part where he had to grow lamb chops or something. I remember him in something like that and gasped.
Other than that, he's pretty cute.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | June 26, 2023 6:13 PM |
Definitely cute. Caught the movie "Big" recently and he's very charming in it.
