That voice! It still has the most haunting, lovely timbre I have ever heard. I first heard her on The Style Council - The Paris Match (Tracey Thorn Version) and have been in love ever since. The orchestration of that song is some of the most evocative you will ever hear, matching the lyrics perfectly (and just this side of being too on-the-nose). Listen to Second Sight when she was with the Marine Girls, before EBTG was formed. An endlessly enjoyable, moving, heartfelt catalog going back 40 years or so.

Love them.
They're coming out with a new album this year (2023) named 'Fuse'.
Here's a Spotify link to what I believe is a cut from the new album

That new song is fantastic but deserved a better video.
That style of “dance” makes me unreasonably angry.

My all-time favorite band! Met them at a record signing and they were so kind and shy. Later became friendly with Ben through a mutual friend. Sweet man, hardworking, and obsessively into music of all genres. Love the new song. HATE the graphics for the album cover. Their pics with Juergen Teller were the best. Tracey has one of the all-time great voices.

R6 He had a rare disease. And she’s just skinny. They are square as fuck-no drugs.
“ in 1992, he contracted an auto-immune disease called Churg Strauss Syndrome, which, the internet tells us, is “a rare diffuse vasculitic disease affecting coronary, pulmonary, cerebral, abdominal, visceral and skin circulations”. It almost killed him. “I was in hospital for 10 weeks, and then [spent] six to nine months convalescing at home.”

Indeed, r10. Also:
[quote]He eventually had 5 m (15 ft) of necrotized small intestine removed (about 75%), leaving him on a permanently restricted diet. He later wrote the memoir Patient about his experiences with the disease and recovery.

"Fuse" (the new album) is finally here!
Right now "Caution To The Wind" is the key song for me, connecting their "Amplified Heart" sound to what they're doing now.
