Magic Mike 3 opens next weekend but does anybody care?

Selma Hayek and Channing look like they have great chemistry in the trailer.

Weird marketing. Some of the TV trailers make it look like the start of a Hostel movie with almost no shots of actual stripping. I couldn’t make it through Magic Mike 2 so I’ll definitely pass on this.

This movie cost $40 million? Half of that was probably CT’s salary.

Tragic Mike — Limping Along

Sounds like a stinker. They dumped the whole cast and didn’t even bother to give the new dancers any dialogue. What a waste of time.

Flopped bigly, will only do $8 million opening (estimate was 9 to 11). Second of WBD’s original made for HBO Max movies which they shifted to theatrical which flopped (other was House Party).

The cast needs more muscle and beefcake. Less Salmon Kayak.

The first one was so overwhelming, I’ve never revisited it…or the franchise…since seeing Magic Mike on the day it opened.

It needed more of that really talented, beautiful, exciting young woman from the first movie.

Unfortunately, Cody Horn’s packed schedule made it impossible to film even a 1-minute cameo in Magic Mike 3. She continues to work nonstop after her star-making turn in the first Magic Mike.

Cody Horn is married to this movie’s writer, Reid Carolin, Channing Tatum’s longtime enabler.

I am not a straight man so I never saw the appeal of Salma Hayek (I know, boobs). McBongo is starting to look like beef jerky so no thank you. Channing Tatum has gone far beyond what his talent and appeal are.
