That show still runs on Channel 4 here in the UK on a morning almost 20 years after its ended, I'm sure the living cast must make a pretty penny from residuals - but were the rumors true about them all hating one another?
Did everybody hate each other on Everybody Loves Raymond?

From what I've heard, Doris Roberts, who played Marie, had a warm and cordial relationship with Ray Romano and Patricia Heaton. Roberts even appeared on the Heaton's TV series after ELR, "The Middle."
Never heard of friction among other cast members.
The only discordant note I've heard about the cast of ELG was when Brad Garrett was holding out for more money and more episodes revolving around his character. Hence, his marriage to Amy after a very rocky relationship.

I'll never understand how it keeps going on C4. I don't know a single person who's ever mentioned it.

Didn't Doris Roberts flash her titties at one of the kids?

I remember hearing reports that Doris Roberts, in a cocaine-fueled rage, threw an unopened can of soda at Peter Boyle.

Patricia Heaton's character was such a shrew!

Didn't Patti Heaton and Doris bump pussies?

I don't know, but could somebody please explain why my name sounds like a serious medical condition?

Nobody watches this show but old people.

Most of us here *are* old people, R9.

I don’t think that’s funny, Debra.

R6, yes, she was. I stopped watching because Debra's contempt and disdain for Ray crossed from being funny to being just sad and annoying. That Ray never fought back and even seemed to love Debra in his way only made it worse.

Doris used to spend holidays at Patricia's house. She was the kids' unofficial grandma.

They represented a typical dysfunctional Northeast Italian/Jewish family with the judgmental in-laws, a total Mama's boy, overbearing mother, self-deprecation and tons of guilt thrown around. Debra was meant to be relatable at first though but her character got flanderized to be just as cruel as Marie and she ended up unsympathetic.

Ray was annoying as hell. Dumb, lazy, selfish, ungrateful and whiny and let his mother disrespect his wife. Nobody on that show was a good person. I suspect being raised old-school Catholic and having kids is why Ray and Debra never divorced. Which adds to the realism.

r2 It's just filler until Frasier starts at 9. The real crime is them burying the superior Third Rock From the Sun at 6.50am.

Weren't there rumors of Patricia not getting along with the guy from Scrubs she did that other series with?
